I paid more attention to the London at Memorial Cup last season than I normally would as there were players involved that I felt may be Calgary Flames in regards to Tkachuk and Juolevi in addition to Andersson. As I watched I loved how this kid battled in the nets and was kind of surprised he wasn't getting a lot of draft buzz. Loved the pick when it happened and love it more today.

So Parsons is down with Stockton? 4th back-up for now?

Next year he is going to need lots of starts to continue his development. I would say send him to the ECHL and McDonald can back him up if Gillies is back in Stockton next year.

If we can't get MAF, Bishop or Grubauer I say let Gillies and Johnson split the crease in Calgary Have Parsons and Rittich/McDonald platoon in Stockton.

What's the rush to bring Gillies up? Not like he was unbelievable down in Stockton. Cory Schnieder had three superb seasons in the A before he got his time in the NHL. Let him dominate down there with Parsons as his backup (to start the season), and pick either Rittich or Chad to backup whoever we land as a starter whether that be Elliott (please no), or Grubauer or Pickard or Bishop or whoever.

Parsons can play one more year in London.

Probably better for his development anyways. London might be the best junior team in the world to play for, whereas the Flames AHL affiliate is a usually a black hole for development.

I would disagree. Goalies need to face hard shots from men not 16 year old teenage boys. Getting used to the velocity and faster releases can be one of the hardest transitions for a goalie.

It's one of the reason Europe is churning out better goalies than Canada. These kids are exposed to harder, faster, quicker shots at a younger age and it makes them better.

If the Flames pick up a Grubauer, Pickard or other goalie that has never been a legit starter then I think they would be far smarter to sign Johnson as the backup. If they are able to get that legit number 1 be it Bishop, Fleury or someone else then Rittich makes a lot of sense to backup

Its gotta be someone like flury, bishop or even smith if we bring up a rookie goalie.

Parsons recently put a picture on Instagram of him on the ice and his gear is all Flames colors, which is probably a good indication that he is done with junior hockey

Yeah Tre already stated that his Junior career is over. Nice pads though, the puck marks on the blocker are all dead center.

Well it's not yet complete, so hard to give a final judgment imo.

The grim reaper looks comical. But if he can stop pucks and be better than the past 8 goalies we have had, he can have this on his back and I'll like it.

The fact that "it's not finished yet" has had to be explained at all is rather astounding.
