The problem with having too many good forwards at the same time is that some guys get buried. Agostino and Knight both have not had exceptional seasons with Addy, but if they were in situations where they were getting more ice time they would be. Knight is probably replacing Shore on the 1st line in SA, so he should be getting more points.

I'm not sure what's going on with Adam Olias Mattsson, but it looks like he may be injured. He's missed the last 4 matches and only played 1 in the last 7 games.

Hold the fort... When did Keegan Kanzig score a GOAL? Doesn't that like double his career number of goals?
About two weeks ago. He grabbed the puck off the faceoff and moved up to the middle a little and just ripped one in. He looked more surprised then the goalie that it went in.
And he had 3 goals with the Royals last year.

Kulak has been tearing it up in Colorado lately. Goals, assists, and looking very confident. I think if he is left down here for the year, it would be his last year in the E.

Is it right that he scored 3 goals in the last 3 games? Or something like that. I was updating his stats and it jumped by 3 goals and 3 games and again, had to go back and double check I wasn't reading that wrong. It was a huge offensive jump.
His SOG are great as well. Very happy to see him progressing like this. Him and Rafikov could be some interesting offensive-defenceman options coming up for the Flames here.

Yes, that is correct. It just kinda sucks that it looks like we wont be affiliated with Calgary next season. That means no Kulak or Carr, and probably no Vause.

Rafikov has not played a game with HC Ryzen since Jan 17th as he was named to a Russian Universiade (it's a multi sport world tournament for university students) team and is playing with them in Spain. He has been named assistant captain of that team.
The Swedish Elite League appears to be on a break, so no updates on Billins or Mattson.
One stat line I do want to point out is Turner Elson of the Adirondack Flames. In 37 AHL games last year, he had 2G and 1A. In 37 AHL games (and counting) this year, he has 7G and 7A. He's improved quite a bit this year.

Olias-Mattson still has not played a game. He's been scratched/injured for 7 straight games. He does still appear to be on the SHL team and not demoted and I can't find him listed on any other tournaments, so I think he might be injured. If any of our Swedish guys might have any other info, could you update us?
Rafikov should be returning from the Universlade shortly as the tournament ended Feb 14. Russia won gold. Rafikov's stats for the tournament were: 6GP, 1G, 2A, 6 PIM, 16 SOG and +9.

I found Mattsson. He has been sent to J20 DJURGARDEN Super Elite 10. From what I can tell (and my non-existent Swedish and Google Translate) it is the one step down to the SHL DJURGARDEN. Almost the NHL/AHL type of comparison. He's played 10 games with them and appears to be on the 2nd line. They release very limited stats so I only have goals, assists and PIM for him.

It's more of a WHL/NHL comparison. Most, if not all, Swedish teams have a junior-level affiliate it's common for good players to be transferred between pro/jr when they're Mattsson's age.

And after all that time to find Mattsson, he's been called back up the SHL.
Rafikov and HC Ryazan are currently in the playoffs and down 0:3 to Rubin, with the last two losses coming in OT. It unfortunately looks like his season may be over shortly.

Can he come to North America then? Or does he have another year?
That's going to require a little more research and yes, I'm on it. I'm trying to figure out what his contract status is. And what the rule with him specifically may be as he didn't play KHL but VHL.
That's an answer I don't have off the top of my head and will need to look up a few things.
Edit: It looks like his KHL (VHL) contract expires May 1, 2015. So if he gets a contract from the Flames and an offer he likes, looks like he can come over. He wouldn't be playing any games this year with either team though.

Rafikov's team was knocked out of the playoffs losing the series 1-4. His season is over.
Most of the NCAA prospects have also finished up the regular season and awaiting the playoffs/tournaments which look to start March 13th.
For playoffs, should I just keep adding those stats to the one line accumulation (did that for Rafikov already) or do we need a second line for just the playoffs?
