Guessing a contusion that was originally feared to be a separated shoulder, and they were just checking his pain / range of motion to make sure it was alright. Probably still sore but easily played through.

Is it possible for it to have been dislocated and they popped it back in? Not sure if you can have a "minor" dislocation that is manageable once it's back in place.

Tanev is as tough as ive ever seen play here.
last year it was speculated he played with broken ribs.
I've seen Jamie Macoun , Joe Mullen, Rob Ramage and Gary Roberts all play with neck issues all wearing horse collars back in the day.
Raz has played with a broken foot as have several others .
Yes it's playoffs and we've all seen or heard of our favorites playing hurt and it's awe inspiring. I just hope he's not putting himself at risk for something LTIR or scarier .
End of the day you don't replace a Tanev....not even close . Chris is absolutely amazing and I wish i had spare body parts to exchange for him to be 100% healthy as we need him .
If he's not in any danger then perhaps we see him and if not there's no reason why Mackey shouldn't play....and I hope he does as he's a pretty tough customer himself and he'll do fine.

I agree with this. But also because the Blues are damn good.
That series will be a bloodbath. Almost for sure to go 7. If the Flames can meet the moment and dispatch these clowns in short order like they can, they'll be waiting for a beat-up team, whichever comes out of it.

If he lost some chiclets we could borrow some from Markstroms mask.
I think the secret here is Darryl won't show his hand just yet and that it's Tanevs decision unless Flames doctors shut him down. He wasn't wearing a no contact yellow jersey so I'm cautiously optimistic he'll surprise us all and be back .
If he's back that's awesome as no one fills his skates.
