I don’t care about how much money Arsenal generate, I want a team with ambition and which makes the best use of its resources to be competitive. Obviously, I want us to win matches, but I’m always more content with watching a team hungry for success and really going for it - win or lose.
That is a mentality long gone from Arsenal - its why I didn’t DGAF how the team did. At least now there is a shift in the mentality within the club, which I welcome.
But I’ll never be content with 4th as the limit of aspirations.

Yeah, but along with that is a desire to see your club play in the best competitions and against the best teams? The dollars and cents of it all is of interest to me (I just find sports finance interesting), but to be honest if we spent far too much money on a player and he worked out, who cares? I care about on field success and if ENIC and Levy overspend to get there, that's their problem.
I'm thrilled we got the Champions League though. It's a big improvement for the club this year and while it's not a trophy, it bodes well for the coming season. And of course for Sonny to get the Golden Boot is amazing as well!
Mind the Gap!

Glad to see this season over, the back of a lot of trash and Rangnick. By far the worst post SAF manager. Zero tactical sense and appears to have zero man management skills or authority.
Congrats on your CL but I'm sure you won't disagree younse were the best of the dregs.
Don't see any reason why the top two will change next year..
|
I don't see the top 2 changing anytime soon.
I think 3rd thru 6th should be pretty open, 4th this year was just particularly big for spurs with conte, I don't think he stays without CL, even though his max stay at the club is at most another 2 seasons, he's the best chance to win something in that window where kane and son makeup one of the top 2 or 3 frontlines on Europe

I think in today's world though, at least as long as Petro states own clubs and Liverpool have an elite core, it's progress
I don't think anyone cares about the actual finances, but for all the club's outside United, it's a necessity to bring in better players, which makes the chances better for winning trophies Etc.

Congratulations to City on winning the only thing Liverpool left for them despite blowing a huge lead.
Disappointing, but onwards.

Just as the whole PL breathes an agreeable collectable sign of relief at the retirement of Jon Moss someone thought it would be a good idea to award him the Forest/Huddersfields game on Sunday.

I believe in the Jays.

I’d be sad to see him leave, he has been an incredible signing. I hope we can convince him to stay for one more go.

Well seeing as his contract is up after next year it would make sense if you aren't extending him long-term to sell him now. Might help fund the Salah contract extension. But both him and Salah have been two of the best signings in PL history considering how good they were and how much they cost relative to market.

I'll be sad to see him go too, but it might be time.
His play of late has been concerning, when he first came to Liverpool he was tough, hard to knock off the ball, etc. But lately its like he's just looking for calls. I see him go down easily so often even the blind refs dont believe him.
Its like something about his drive seems off. But at the end of the day, yeah...sucks to say but you have to consider moving along from players once their odometer clicks to the other side of 30.

Great to see Forest back where they belong. Old hard head smiling from above. The only team with more European cups than league titles.
And delighted to see the back of Rangnick.

I thought Rangnick and Arteta were a close 1/2 for manager of the year. I really enjoyed their work and it’s too bad we only get one next year. Thankfully, it’s the one I’d pick though!

United might have a wheelhouse in the making, in Garner. I'd leave him at Notts for another season, to really see what we got.

Even though it's been a long time since they were up that's a team that seems like it belongs in the Premier League.
Always strange to see the two stars over the logo of a Championship team.

City Football Group to buy Palermo FC?
Report: Majority stake in historic but troubled team to be sold for €6 million
https://www.hudsonriverblue.com/plat...buy-palermo-fc
that'd be really cool.
