lucky for us you also thought the Flames were a bottom 5 team...here they are one of the 7 teams left

Well.

Leave it to the Flames to take a 111 point season, a division title and getting past round 1 and turn it into a bitter, disappointing conclusion where they get beat in 4 straight in embarrassing fashion against our biggest rivals on the biggest stage they've shared in 31 years.

I'm not even shocked or surprised this season would end this way for this franchise and fan base.

it can have an asterisk considering the Oilers didn't legally win the game

One thing I didn't expect in this series was the Flames getting outgoalied and outcoached. Felt like the Oilers had the power to make it a back and forth high danger chance game as soon as the Flames were up a couple of goals. Flames were never able to shut them down. And Markstrom didn't get the needed saves.

The clearly “legally” won the game, I checked nhl.com this morning.

Whether the Flames got screwed is a legitimate question.

What was wrong with the ot goal? Do the Flames not have the ability to handle bad breaks? The Oilers had 2 called back in game 2 and still came back and won. The Flames lost in 5 games and most of the damage was done 5 on 5 so you can't even blame the refs. You got out coached, out worked and out skilled. Both goalies were awful.

Why log on a Flames specific message board and to this? Honestly what a pathetic post. You must be a small weak person. You won't admit it to yourself, but anyone who posts like this is. Have a terrible summer, moron.

The forum is generally welcoming to fans of other teams who post regularly and contribute

And then there's guys like you who only show up when they can rub our faces in it.

It's something a very small person does. And you've been doing it for years.

I showed up and made my prediction before the series started. A lot of what I said in my prediction turned out to be accurate. This board trolls Edmonton round the clock you got beat own it.

IT IS A FLAMES BOARD.
Of course we talk about the Oilers.
That's different from being the kind of loser that shows up on another team's board.

I took Flames in 6 and am happy to be wrong. Bring on the Avs. That goal should have counted but it probably wouldn’t have delivered a different result. The Oiler may still have tied it up but, if not, they’d very likely win it Saturday.

That's the thing. We'll never know because the league got it wrong again in an elimination game.

I agree that it was the wrong call.

I know, you also said it probably wouldn't have mattered which you might be right but we'll never know for sure. Atleast if the Oilers had tied it up and then won or won in 6 or 7 there's closure.

First of all you coming here makes you an idiot.

Second look at the goals that the Oilers got called back on, they were both legitimate call offs. This call off has all the signs of Katz's checkbook and the leagues influence.

Hope your team gets its skull caved in against the Avalance.

But you're right, the Flames didn't play well in this series, they deserved to lose, its just nice that the league helped them along with a major momentum shifting event in the deciding game.
