I'm a god damned klutz that doesn't realize that electronics and water don't mix
Just got my phone replaced two weeks ago and about an hour ago I was in the drive-thru when the girl handed me the drink with the lid obviously half way off. I didn't want to be a dick and tell her to close it right so I took it from her and as soon as I grabbed it about a quarter of the drink came spillin onto my lap and got my phone which was inbetween my legs(hehe)
Anyways the phone still works but all the buttons are sticky and some are hard to push. I don't know if any got inside the phone and has damaged anything, but it's still functional.
I was pretty pissed and didn't even want to eat there anymore so I asked for a refund, and the manager diidn't even give me the right change back. Only a couple dollars short, but that's not even the point.
So do I have a case for having them replace my phone? or should I just try opening it up and clean it myself and not make a deal out of it? The thing is if I ever need to get it replaced again and they see there is some type of liquid stain on the inside they probably won't replace it for free.
Stupid BigMac cravings.

Um, I don't think you have too much of a case here. Since accidents happen.

Take the battery out, clean with distilled water, allow 24 hours to dry. I doubt you have any kind of case, it's not like she threw it on you and you have video.

IMO that's not an accident, It's laziness, and negligence. I'm sure some people on here have had the same thing happen with lids not being put on right, but without it dropping on their $500 phone.

Laziness and negligence by the guy who took the drink. Seriously, why didn't you just refuse the drink.

I'm highly offended by this statement. Won't you think of the children?

The problem with being anonymous on the internet is when you admit to being an idiot, no one knows who you are.

I think you might want to be more concerned about what all that radiation is doing to your balls.

That's what I was thinking too. I should have probably just told her to put the lid on right or give me another drink, but I didn't want to be rude.
Still ticked about my phone though.

You took at least partial liability by admitting that right there. Even if you didn't notice I think that going to a drive through you know there is a risk of a spilt drink.

Not everyone is as charming and charismatic as you are so we can't afford to go around being rude to every service worker we come across.
