Free Skate Sharpening in August

Hockey Experts will be offering free skate sharpening in August to all customers. That's right. Free. Pretty good opportunity to get the Flat Bottom V done if you haven't already.

How are the sharpenings there? I still think of them as Sports Chek...and I've heard nasty things about those sharpenings

I had mine done at the Deerfoot Meadows location, and was very happy.

Amazing sharpening jobs. I think they are only $5 anyways.

Tried the Flat Bottom V and I like the traditional hollow more. Few of my friends mentioned that the Flat Bottom cut takes more out of the blade (thus reducing the life of it) but I can get a few more skates out of the Flat Bottom cut before I need a sharpen.

Sharpenings are top notch. It's $4 regular. And the FBV actually has a very shallow profile, allowing for less steel coming off the skate each time. HX is NOTHING like Sport Chek. Give it a shot.

Clarification: The deal runs from August 4th to the 30th, and will be limited to three free sharpenings per visit.

"Yes, and you will sharpen them three times a day from now til August 30th."
