It's going to be funny when the Flames being back Blasty, even if it's just for a couple 90s Nights games or something. It has a big cult fanbase online, but I still think it's disliked by the average fan.

You can’t enjoy Scorch unironically.

You can enjoy Blasty unironically.

Ergo, Blasty.

It’s kinda cool when your alternate logo is a Rapidash.

That’s because the average Flame fan is a Calgarian, and the average Calgarian still bitches about the Peace Bridge.

I mean, it’s not like Blasty was designed for a team that plays in a city most famous for its annual rodeo, across the parking lot from a horse track, in a building shaped like a goddamn saddle or anything...

This is how I view it.

Blasty is a great shoulder patch, but it a terrible main logo on a jersey. The CF secondary logo from the wordmark jerseys is the same, great patch, would be an awful main logo. Also, haven't the Flames made it pretty clear they won't introduce a 3rd that is not red? Because they saw how much blasty screwed with the C of Red.

Maybe they try a red blasty jersey, or simply bring it back as a shoulder patch.

Did you put together that retro Blasty logo? I’d be really interested to see that in full concept form.

Just as recently as this past week I had said that I didn't mind Blasty as a shoulder patch. However, after reading the first post I have come to realize that I dislike it now/again. No more Blasty! No more!

Didn't Scorch end because of a lame skit or vid that was done in poor taste? Time has passed, I think Scorch can be revived.

When Blasty first apeared somebody posted that it looked like a horse with flaming snot, and that ruined it for me.

“Just put em on a channel, like the ‘Disgrace Channel’ or something right? Like you’re in the penalty box”

“‘Dance Lessons with Scorch’ followed by ‘Buzzcut Hour with B. Peters’, Wednesday nights on disgrace.”

Scorch is the embodiment of the fire that killed a bunch of ppl in a historic fire in Adirondack. Scorch didn't last a year because of it. Dont think he lasted many days after.

If we want to get to brass tacks about it, scorchs very existence is in fact, the poorest of taste.

My favourite part of this was being able to put at the end:
Oct 9, 2014 - Oct 14, 2014

Blasty reminds me of Cale Hulse.

That’s all ANYONE needs to know.

In the announcement thread? Yeah I did. I'm pretty remedial with PS, I can change colors and make a few changes to logos and such, but I've never done a jersey concept before. I guess I could try and see how it goes.

Scorchy had potential to be as great as Gritty. The Flames owners blew it...
