Default Will we ever see 4k?

Watching the Raptors on TSN 905 4k right now and it's identical to 904 hd. ridiculous.

Do they charge more for 4k like they used to when we went to HD?

Not yet, probably because the only true 4k channel is stingray. it's sad when YouTube and Netflix has all the 4k content

I watch 4K on my Telus box and it’s noticeably different. I’d check your cables and box.

Every time I have to reset my Telus 4K boxes, they reset to 720P. Grr.

I found there was a rather crazy difference between the TSN HD and 4k feed

I haven't had the chance to watch anything from Netflix in 4k yet, havent upgraded to the 4k offering they have.

The sports that I have been able to watch in 4k, NBA, MLS and the World Juniors has been pretty good. The added detail is pretty impressive.

I do think that people need to keep in mind that the difference between HD in 4K isn't as big a leap as SD to HD was.

I seek out most content in 4k, and I watch little to no cable. I think the difference is really quite amazing

How many channels does Telus offer in 4K? Shaw is really dragging their feet with this.

Is TV even "proper" HD?

Sure you'll get the pixels but the bitrate is still so ####ty with the throughput they actually have. Movies on cable are terrible versus a reference Blu-ray it seems. Nevermind 4K.

This is all true, but not perfect 4k is still better than not perfect HD.

I read the thread title in more of a "human evolution" context. I think the answer is a no; for how many screens we stare at constantly, I'd be surprised if our eye-sight improved. Staring at things a short, fixed distance away tends to make the eyes worse at focusing.

Telus just added a channel called Insight (ch 965) that is in 4k.

Content seems kinda random, but looks really good.
