Yeah, I wouldn't have traded for that contract if he was in the 60s ... he's still comfortably top-pair material in the sim, arguably a #1. And I sorely needed a top-end defender.

I think Giordano is still one hell of an NHLer, too, so I don't think that rating is crazy. Certainly glad to have him on an expiring deal though, for sure.

I gave up a lot of good quality pieces here but I feel like I got the two very best pieces for my team.

Panarin is Panarin, and I would rather have Giordano for one year than Pavelski for three.

Bjorkstrand was tough to move but he's only three years younger than Panarin and I don't think he's more than a 60-point guy. Panarin is a 100-point guy.

Rust is a good player, but I feel like I can use that money better elsewhere.

Sharks clearly win this trade. MJK has been able to reunite the leagues most dominant 1-2 punch in Bergeron/Rust.

Rust is probably the most underrated player in the CPHL so when we got the Gio/Rist swap added to the deal we jumped on it.

Pavelski is the perfect 2nd line C compliment to Bergeron we have been looking for and still an NHL stud.

Lol that was too easy. Only a rookie would worry about such things. Average lifespan of a player on the Sharks has to be less than 50 days.
