No? He scores like 20 points a year, fought 10 times last year.

It's the non fights and the liberties that were not taken that better reflect his value.

Yeah, he’s more of a nuclear deterrent than a weapon that gets used.
And therefore not as useful against the Oilers, who aren’t trying to be physical anyway.

Nolan Patrick back on LTIR. Unfortunate career for him.

Lots of people wanted the Flames to trade for him, giving up assets (Johnny trade ideas usually)
Kid sadly had issues into the draft and never recovered.
His career is done sadly.

He might still carve out an NHL career; there have been other players to come back from similar injuries and still produce. It's hard to see him ever living up to the draft position though.

Patrick had 102 points in the WHL in his D MINUS 1 year. Such a shame, he would have been a superstar.

Patrick’s career reminds me of Peter Muellers a bit.
Both great junior careers, Mueller the shootout phenom for the U.S during the famous Toews trifecta 3 for 3 game.
His career cut short when hit from behind and a concussion derailed his career so different but he had the same hype and it was sad to see.
I hope he can carve something out, but sadly I think his NHL days are over.

Steinberg on the Fan just now while discussing whether the Flames are better this season than last:

And this is why 960 hit the ####ter. There's nothing at all of value in that statement.

Steinberg did bring up Kadri's name (as a suggestion) a couple of times unprompted. Mentioned Milano and Stastny too.
Hope Brad gets all of his moves done soon, the man deserves a vacation.

Some Kadri talk and Pat still thinks the Flames are in it. They believe there is/was an offer that has been sent. Back in July it was unlikely he wanted to come here but since it is August you can’t discount it. They lean toward the Avs

Interesting to hear Pat say that Kadri has some family in town as well…

The way he said it…the Flames are working on some significant things. The Flames are a tight lipped organization, so I’m not sure what you’re expecting. Steinberg likely knows what they’re trying to do but he can’t let it out because it would hamper relationships or negotiations on those things.

Yup I can confirm this as well, since I know one of them. Been trying to get Kadri info from him but doesn’t sound like there is much to share yet
