On of my pet peeves about the game is when they make the shiny look almost the same as the original. The ones that look the best are completely different colour, not 1 or 2 shades off.

This goes all the way back to Gen 2 on the Gameboy Color.

In the early days, Gamefreak would simply switch the color palette of a Pokémon to a next suitable one in the game’s code, resulting in similar shiny variants for different Pokémon. So a lot of the early yellow pokemon in general have boring shinnies. Electabuzz, Abra and Weedles are like Pikachu. But Hypo, for some reason, isn't.

So several of the Gen 1 and 2 pokemon have boring shinnies.
Most pokemon Gen 3 and after have more noticeable differences.

If you rename your Eevee "Kira" and then evolve it, it'll become Sylveon. Rename it and then the "evolve" button with a question mark will change to the outline of Sylveon.

Collected a lot of XL candy to power up another evolution.

After missing the first eevee community day several years ago, I had finally caught and traded for enough shinies to have a full collection before this event, but I got enough to evolve a complete second set with the special moves.

For any of you that are having trouble finding enough people to do raids, try the poke genie app. It basically helps find people to join your raid or let's you join other people's raids remotely by adding them as a friend.

How do you get all the evleveelutions, other than the name trick? I'm level 41 and it says I've only done 4 of the 7 needed ones...I don't even onow how to tell which Ines I've done. I'm assuming I need espeon, umbreon, and either glaceon or leafeon. I've tried having eevee as a buddy and walking 10km then evolving eevee at night to get umbreon but that didn't work.

Sylveon: earn 70 buddy hearts with your Eevee
Espeon: walk 10 km with your buddy Eevee, evolve at day
Umbreon: walk 10 km with your buddy Eevee, evolve at night
Glaceon: use Glacial Lure
Leafeon: use Moss Lure

those methods should work. Check if there's a silhouette before hitting "evolve" - if there's still a question mark, the requirement hasn't been triggered yet.

Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon are completely random if you do none of the above.

After a lengthy break from the game I came back and ended up getting a GPS spoof auto-walker/catcher/everything.

Some will say it takes the fun out of it, but for me who has minimal time to play it's great to spoof all over the world and collect the pokemon I need to 'collect them all'.

I do cheat nicely though. I drop lures at hospitals so I feel like i'm doing a good deed there.
