Agreed, Mahomes made a few plays but wasnt great last year, that was a winnable game for the 49ers. KC is a fine team but your getting ahead of yourself by predicting 6 or 7.

Tiger, Jack, and everyone else.
It's all about the wins. And in golf it's the majors. I agree Tiger is at worst the second best golfer ever. But if he isn't unanimous in his own sport he can't be the greatest athlete ever.

Mahomes is a once in a generational talent but this kind of high profile QB rarely over-achieves their potential. And Mahomes' gigantic contract means KC cannot reload easily. I see KC being the 2000s' Colts with Manning. They'll always be a factor and get a SB run or two but I wouldn't peg them going to the SB every year.

Mahomes was under siege from the very beginning of the game until the very end. He was also clearly playing injured. He played about as well as anyone could have under those circumstances. Put Brady behind that patchwork Oline and up against that Tampa front 4, and he probably takes a dozen sacks tonight and struggles to pass for 100 yards.

As for the GOAT across all sports, my vote goes to Nadal. He is tied for the most majors of all time, and if not for injuries he clearly would have won many more than the 20 he currently has. Plus, he had to play during the same era as Fed and Djoker.

Sure, you would have to give the same leniency to Tiger if you are going to take injuries into account, but his situation is a bit different, as guys like Niklaus and Snead played in different eras and didn't stand in Tiger's way of dominating the sport.

Majors matter a lot more in individual sports because the competition is direct. Seven is a tough number to overcome for Brady in a team sport, but Jordan is considered the greatest and Russell has five more rings than he does. Mahomes or someone else doesn't necessarily have to match or beat Brady's number so long as it is close (five would probably be the minimum) and they own all the major records. But that's also the problem with catching Brady is you have to play for probably a minimum of 18 years to have a real shot at breaking his passing records. Just seems too much to overcome at this point.

Tiger Woods is the GOAT golfer thanks. Whoever disputed that, come on now. No one has ever dominated any sport over a period of time that Woods did. He’s probably the greatest athlete of all time period. Brady is looking like he’s #2.

This game truly does show how important an offensive line is for a QB to have success.

The KC line gets devastated by injuries and all of a sudden Mahomes looks human.

It’s why I think sometimes young QBs can be written off too early in the NFL, if you don’t have a line that can protect you in the NFL, yoy are dead in the water.

I can’t remember a worse offensive line performance in a meaningful game. It must be very disappointing.

I didn’t really know who I wanted to win here. Instinctively I was rooting against Brady but he’s not a Patriot anymore and him and Gronk were never my issues with the Pats. Also he’s already the clear greatest nfl player ever so it’s not like this changes anything here. So I was leaning against them but then the Reid accident earlier this week annoyed me and there is one thing that makes me a bit happier here.

Brady is the last great athlete older than me. When he retires I’ll be older than all active superstars. So I guess in chasing of my youth I’ll hope Brady hangs on a bit longer.

I mean it was a terrible performance from the Chiefs OLine and a dominant one for the Bucs DLine, but it was men against boys out there. The Chiefs were basically fielding a practice squad line and the Bucs have maybe the best front four in the league and getting Vita Vea back for the last two games made such a difference to the pass rush. Bowles deserves a ton of credit for going against type and not blitzing really all that much. He trusted his guys to dominate and that's what they did.

Credit to where credit is due, congrats Bucs, Bucs fans, Brady fans, and all fans out there that have enjoyed the greatest player to play the game of football.

Especially Pat Steinberg. No doubt he's gonna enjoy this for a long time.

For this game it was only one guy out, but they moved a couple other guys to try and make up for it, and it didn't work.

I wouldn't sell Tampa's defence short here. They got Vita Vea back for the NFC Title game, and I think that was huge. QB's can get away from Edge pressure by stepping up and moving around the pocket. But the last two games that Tampa played there was nowhere for the QB to go, and edge guys feast on that.

Tom Brady is a smart guy, he knows that he needs others to help him win. He probably understands this better than anyone who has played in the NFL. He picked a team with talent, and he was the piece to bring it all together. I don't think we've seen the last of him winning either.

The State trooper running in at the end looked like DK Metcalf chasing down the Arizona Cardinal guy to prevent the TD, compared to the large security guards that were tasked with trying to catch the guy.

In either scenario of a KC win or Tampa win he ends of the same.

Well I became a fan of Weeknd. Never thought I'd hear Siouxsie and the Banshees at a Super Bowl halftime show. He also had a few film homages too, including Eyes Wide Shut.

I watched most of the the bucs games this year (been somewhat of a fan since the creamsicle era) and they never really looked that great. TB12 would have 3 or 4 good drives a game and the defence would get a few turnover points. Didn't think they would win a playoff game till they got matched up with Washington.

LOL back, only people who suck at it would call it a non sport. Not only is golf a sport it's one of the most competitive sports ever, you should pick on baseball where you can still win if you suck any given day.
