Christie still supports Trump. He preps Trump on a bunch of stuff. But he is saying when you lose you have to accept defeat instead of making up stuff. I dont think hes flip flopping.

Stole this joke off reddit:

Two hardcore Trump supporters die & ascend to heaven. God meets them at the pearly gates & asks if they have any questions.

One of them says, “Yes, what were the real results of the 2020 election & who was behind the fraud?”

God says, "My son, there was no fraud. Biden won the electoral college fair and square, 306 to 232”. After a few seconds of stunned silence, the one guy turns to the other & whispers, “This goes higher up than we thought”.

Do Trump & Giuliani actually believe that the Supreme Court would rule in their favor? They won't. Those SC Justices have lifetime appointments, they don't need Trump.

Reporter: Senator, have you read that tweet from Carl Bernstein?

Senator: No I have not had the chance to see any of his tweets. **Quickens pace to the lunchroom**

Sasse has been public in his rebukes of Trump as well. Trump responded by calling him “Little Ben Sasse”, which was hilariously typed by Trump’s own tiny, child-like hands.

I doubt they get to the Supreme Court. From my understanding to get there you generally need rulings from a fully tried case that you then contest. They are getting tossed out of court during preliminary hearings and not getting to an actual case where full evidence is given, considered and a judgement given.

Interesting background story on Blinken:

In the spring of 1945, in a Nazi slave labor camp 50 miles from Dachau, convict No. B-1713 heard powerful explosions pierce the night air. The guards said the "enemy" was advancing and herded the prisoners together to be marched back to Dachau.

They marched for most of three days. At dawn, on the third day, a squadron of Allied fighter planes, coming upon what they thought was a column of Nazi troops, swooped low to strafe them.

As the SS-troops hit the dirt and began firing their machine guns, one of the prisoners shouted "run for it!" A group of them ran towards the forest for the trees. The explosions caught most of them, but six, including convict No. B-1713, made made it into the forest alive.

He hid in the hayloft of an abandoned Bavarian barn. Days passed. And then one afternoon he peaked through a crack in the wooded slats and saw a huge tank leading an armored convoy heading toward him. He looked for the swastika on its side. Instead, he saw a five-pointed white star. He ran from the barn, charging toward the tank, screaming and waving his arms. From the tank's hatch emerged CPL Bill Ellington, of the all-Black 761st, son of a slave.

B-1713, who had lost his family and survived four years in the camps, fell to his knees before Ellington and repeated the few English words he knew: God Bless America! God Bless America! Ellington lifted him into the hatch--and into freedom.

Convict No. B-173 was named Samuel Pisar. He became an American citizen, a successful lawyer.

His stepson, Tony Blinken (@ABlinken), will become America's next Secretary of State.

Can you imagine what it must be like to be a person who survived WW2 (or their next generation and the stories they have heard) and have had to live through the last 4 years.

Those poor people.

So it sounds like one of the GOP canvassers in Michigan will likely vote to certify the results. We know the other guy (Norman Shinkle) is voting no, so with two Dem votes and one GOP vote, I assume that would get it done.

Kerry as Special Envoy for Climate is likely not good news for Kenney and Alberta. As Secretary of State he denied the KXL permit in 2015. He's also publicly stated today he is essentially all hands on deck for the Paris Climate agreement.

But think of all the good we are doing for the environment by not building pipelines in AB while Americans build hundreds of miles of them.
