The whole set looks awesome, better than if just the jersey by itself. But I'm still digging the jersey so for sure gonna get one.

How about the third jersey from 2013 (the one with "Calgary" written out).
The one seemed more cherry-red.
I didn't like it, but it was a different shade, I think?

I can confirm. Put beside all my other Flames jerseys, it's the same red. It's crazy how the red perception changes just by adding black vs. white accents to it.

Thank you for the backup. I've been on the red 186 train for decades explaining to people how they are the exact same shade of red and people dismiss it because they don't understand that the dispersion of colour is affected by colours around it.

Wow I am shocked. I was proud of myself for being able to see different tones for once, and then I failed.

It would have tied in perfectly with a white line below the red/yellow on the stripes like in AC’s superior mock-up. Sigh.

Visualized with the white stripe added to the jersey and socks.

The flames put a pic of Backlund in the new Jersey and gear and you can’t see the side pant stripes in it. I think it looks better without those pant stripes.

I don't love the jersey, but I'm still getting one.
Backlund with the Atlanta alternate A to match my original Iggy blasty with the alternate.

That Backlund picture is fire. AC I think you’ve got the right idea ordering a Backlund jersey, getting that Atlanta-A on the black would be awesome. I’m spending a stupid amount of money on jerseys this year, going to get one of each: Tkachuk, Lindholm, & Backlund. I was leaning towards Tkachuk home, Backlund away, Lindholm blasty, but I think Backlund in Black just sounds too good to pass up now I’ve seen it.

Funny seeing it like this I actually like the actual one better now. The white on just the jersey seemed better but white accents all over is too much and takes away from the sleek black, simplicity of the full kit the Flames put together. I'm really excited to see this in action now.

The white pant stripe; again it's a small speck of white, but again the overall uniform look is in the details, just like the logo and font outline incongruity. Probably looks better without that on the pants if you're trying to keep consistent.
Maybe they found boxes of pedestal pants in the back of the Corral while cleaning it out which is why they are using them again as is.

Weird to think when the Flames wear that black uniform it will look like the 94 canucks, even more bad memories.

Still not a fan. Was hoping since the jersey itself wasn’t a “reverse” we might see it worn with red pants and helmet. Also I guess they are using the pedestal pants since that was was worn originally, but if the jersey striping has changed why couldn’t they change the pants? That non matching white stripe looks cheap.

Red pants and helmet? That would like terrible. It’s a blackout theme. Minimal and sleek. Amazing set for a third jersey to go with our retros.
Scorpion’s interview with Popowich revealed the pedestal pants (along with the white c) are just nods to that jersey.
There are enough white accents on the jersey that it matches well with the pants.
It looks amazing
