This is the kind of game it's going to take for the Flames to beat McDavid. The 3M line shutting things down, the Notorious BLG and Jagr-Monahan-Versteeg lines rolling, the defence being what we all know they can be and Mike Smith having a solid night. And based on what we saw, it is completely doable.

he truly is a game-breaker. a potential top 20 defenseman on the 2nd pairing eating up secondary competition would be a huge factor on any team with championship goals. hopefully hamonic settles in well.

So do all the people who wanted to jettison Lazar still feel that’s warranted?? What a game by the kid. Brouwer, Stajan And Glass did ok today but Lazar and Janko have the makings of a better 4th line IMO
