Bennett is poised for a big breakout I think. I liked what Chiasson brought overall, but hard not to think he was an anchor to Bennett and Versteeg most of the time. Jagr should would be nice... Though Lazar could potentially round out that trio, or Tkachuk if Jankowski gets the Backlund/Frolik mentorship role?
Favourite plays: his gorgeous give-and-go with Gaudreau vs SJ, him blowing up Devin Shore at centre ice, and dummying Kesler in the playoffs. Kesler wanted no part of him, and watch the headsnaps Kesler employs.
...the penalty call at 1:35 perfectly shows how bunk refs are. Dorsett crashes into the goalie post-whistle, causes hell...but yeah, let's call Dorsett AND Bennett because "fairness".
Also, Bennett is awesome. My favourite Flame.

I have this desire to see Gaudreau/Bennett as the full time pairing this season. I think Monahan can handle life without Johnny. Give him Tkachuk on the LW.
A lot of creativity that just doesnt end up in the back of the net in that package. Lot's of "snake bit". Bennett could be in line for a big time breakout if the puck bounces his way a few more times this season. Lots of encouragement here.

Watching that video he looks like a 60-80pt player! You can see the talent is there just get him some proper line mates please.
This. He will be great. I love how mean this kid is, and just how dominant he can be on some shifts. It was funny watching him son Nugent-Hopkins in that first clip against the Oilers.
I think Bennett will be a Kadri type player in his prime. ~65 point center that can do it all.
"But good stay with it here by the Flames". I get a kick out of some of the things that come out of the mouths of commentators when they're struggling to quickly follow and explain a replay.
That pass from behind the net to Chaisson in Boston was crazy good. Everyone (including Chaisson) was fooled and Chaisson had all day and half the net to shoot at.
He definitely needs to play with guys who can think at his level. Obviously with his pedigree he wants to produce points, so when it wasn't happening he put a lot of pressure on himself.
On some of these highlights it reminded me of Ferland year before last, prime scoring chances that just didn't go in - but they went in last year for Ferland.
I'd like to see increased quickness from Bennett - quicker release, quicker agility, quicker thinking and he could break out in a big, big way.
Awesome job AC Love watching Bennett, I can't help think he has a lot more to offer than what we have seen. Personally I think he has held back, been held back or asked to be patient while he develops into his role Probably has the potential to be one of the better centers in the league.
On a side note does anyone know how many goals Bennett has had called back, betting it is tops on the team the last few years!?
