What will they be doing at FOX? Really disappointed that they're leaving and TSN doesn't have anyone that even comes close to comparing to them.

I'm curious what their aspirations would be.

In Canada, it doesn't get much bigger than TSN. From what I can gather, they are both quintissentially Canadian and Torontonian. Given their popularity I bet their earning potential would be quite high on Canadian sports TV.

As a TV sports personality its not like they would be chasing the big opportunities of Hollywood and the American music industry.

This isn't a criticism, its more my ignorance on what type of opportunity they would be chasing by moving across the continent completely away from the Canadian sports landscape that seems to be their bread and butter.

The only reason I tolerated TSN. Now I'll have to watch more of that stupid ape clown and amazonian nightmare creature.

I would guess money. 30M is the total candian market and their total reach, but no further. I'm sure a gig Nationally at Fox (if that's what it is) to a much larger market comes with a much larger pay check. Just a guess, but being a National anchor in Canada has to be the quivalent to being a regional anchor in say New York or California, so the only way to move up and increase your pay check is to increase your market size.

where are they going to?

i have read some suggestions on the interwebz that Fox has hired a couple of new guys - likely just a coincidence.

I wonder if TSN would ever think about Lonsborough

i'm hearing rumblings they're going to Fox.

I'm going to just throw this out there, that the Sports at 11 crew from 2&7 has some guys that would be a great fit.

Damn, that sucks. Dudes are awesome. I was just thinking about this the other day, actually and how they'd probably leave eventually for greener pastures. Too bad.

You can't blame them though. They will be getting money at Fox that TSN doesn't even pay their highest paid network guys.

This thread is fantastic. Everyone is an insider.

After reading this thread I also have it on authority that they are going to Fox.
