Add this ssd: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX39617 unless you can get your hands on the intel 330 180 for $99
Add 8gb of ram and start surfing porn like a boss.

As for the OP...I picked up a Boxee Box and Harmony One universal remote for my pops and an iPad 2 16gbs for my mom. Nothing for me Unless someone knows where the Dell U3011 monitor or Psb m4u 2 headphones can be had for a decent price?

Oh wait...I picked up a 500Gb block from newsgroup direct. Only took me 3 years to use my 200gb block from blocknews.

Anyone else spend some money today??
I have a similar 27" Benq (EW2730). Pretty much the same except it comes with a remote. I'm tempted to get this as well so it will match my other panel. Mine's been very good although I've heard my model is a bit slow for gaming.

It looks shamelessly identical to a macbook, actually. But the display is incredibly sharp.

Annoyingly though I can't get windows easy transfer to work so I'm installing everything again.
I'm interested in something along these lines, do you have a link for where you got it from?

Didn't get a whole lot. Just Dishonored for $25US+ shopping. Still cheaper than $40+tax at EB and Amazon.ca...

It's gone now... I think the best deal I saw otherwise was if you go to the clearance centre at memoryexpress they have a laptop on for 599 down from 799 that's really solid. Thing that pushed me over the edge on this one is I use my laptop mostly for media and stuff, and this sucker has a ridiculous display - better than Apple's even - and some of the best audio you'll get out of a laptop (other than the Asus NX90, which is just an absolute beast).

I used this Black Friday to FINALLY upgrade my entertainment center. Been wanting to do something about it for a while. I went from a 32" LCD TV to this:

46" yeaaa!

Also upgraded my audio from... nothing other than the TV speaker, to this:

Which is a colossal upgrade and works wonderfully in my small space. Now excuse me while I don't buy anything for the next several months...

It's the Samsung HW-E450... Great soundbar system. Good crisp high notes (might sound a bit metallic though), fairly strong mids and awesome bass. I bought one a couple of months ago and love it.

Bad thing is it's only got two inputs and doesn't quite work with my harmony remote. Definitely consider the sound bar if space and cabling are a problem. If it isn't and you have the money to spend, a good 5.1 system will be better.

bought Samsung Galaxy SIIX from BB for a back up or for family member if wanted. $113-$100 GC +150 Tab payoff + a portion of a $20/month plan. $183 All in. Could have reduced to -$25 x 2 for a total of $133 but messed up on a referral trick.
bought 32 microSD class 10 for $25ish amazon to beef it up to a 48gb phone/media player.

Looking for a Batman Arkham City for PS3 for $20 or less. All stores out of stock that I can find in London to pricematch with. anyone see any online stock?

Really? I'm very pleased with the two Gigabyte UltraDurable 4 motherboards I've owned. The Asus I had previous to those died with capacitor issues, but practically every manufacturer suffered from those...

But back on topic. For Black Friday I stood in line for....groceries. They had nice pineapples

How? How do you spend $5000 on hard drives?

Did you have to upgrade both Macs?

I bought the Samsung (HW-E550) Sound Bar from Futureshop with the wireless sub. Coudn't be happier! Watching NFL yesterday on "game" mode was like a whole new experience. I kept switching the input to TV speakers then back to the sound bar to keep seeing the difference and it was by far night and day.

It wasn't on sale, but got this soundbar from yamaha and it's pretty sick. Sound for music/tv/movies is amazing. You can also upgrade to a 5.1 system later on if you want. Only con is everything is wired.

I ended up buying a surround sound system. Loving it so far.

Plus a wall mount for super cheap.

Regular TV speakers don't cut it a lot of the time. Well... they do if all you don't really mind. Soundbars are really a need better than TV speakers and are a "good enough" type solution vs true surround.

Sound bar I got was $250 ish, compared to a good 5.1 system with receiver ~$300 + speakers ~$300-800 + cabling ~$20-50 for good high gauge stuff.

I think with that Yamaha package, the real expensive bit was the receiver that was included in there.
