I bought a few seasons of a couple tv shows I liked on Amazon. Also, if there are any ER fans, each season is 9.99 at amazon.ca

I'm a non gamer and ill be mainly using it to surf and perhaps do some minor photoshop work and media ripping. Is it worthwhile to future proof with the i7 or should I take the savings and run with the amd?
i7's aren't worth the extra 100$ unless you are doing heavy CPU load stuff like huge renders and whatnot. Even then, the i5s do a great job for the common user anyway.

Look at some of the i3 and i5 motherboard bundles here (click "Bundles" and brand "Intel") and work out what fits your price point best.

Though, if you're willing to spend over 300$ that i7-2600k combo is a great price, just keep in mind all "k" processors are unlocked and meant to be overclocked.

Great... it's going to take me an extra 15 minutes to turn into my house. The gong show traffic jam is because of Target using half the back parking lot as construction storage.

I spent close to $5000 today just on hard drives alone. There were some really good deals out there. NCIX and TigerDirect (shockingly) got the majority of it.

IF you get the PC version, it's $20, also got a few other games for between $3 and $6.

Ya. It's 10 more but no rebate. Tiger is more out of pocket then is 10 cheaper on mail in rebate. I hate mail in rebates.

What are you building with $5K worth of drives? That kind of money is almost enough to put together 16TB of storage using enterprise-class SATA drives, so I gotta hear what you are cooking up.

Like a few of you, I picked up the Intel 330 180 GB SSD, and two of the Seagate 3 TB HDs. I also picked up 32 GB RAM, and an I7 3770K processor.

The SSD and the HDs were pretty good deal, and I got the RAM for $40 cheaper than regular price. The I7 was on sale, but not anything I haven't seen over the last couple months, but I want to get cracking on my build.

All that is left is a motherboard and graphics card.

Well, I got my pickup... an HP Envy 15; Intel i5-2450 2.5hz, 6gb, 500gb, blu ray, beats audio speakers (these things are loud for a laptop), and most importantly the 15.6 HD "Radiance" display, 1920x1080. Posting from it now. $550 bones.

It looks shamelessly identical to a macbook, actually. But the display is incredibly sharp.

Annoyingly though I can't get windows easy transfer to work so I'm installing everything again.

Not really Black Friday, but picked up 2 Nexus 7's. One on behalf of my friend for his girlfriend and another for my sister.

PMed Google at Visions and was able to save a measly $10.
