All we ever heard was how hard a worker he was, perhaps he should have learned to work smarter not harder. Glad to see him gone, hopefully he makes a Hamonic type trade with the Leafs

Not totally surprising, Zary and Pospisil have been pro for a little while at least. We need to develop our young players, not “oiler” them. He will be fine, it’s his first year as a pro.

Barkov is doing fine without Huberdeau though

I bet you can’t claim the reverse….but you’ll try since he is a Flames

Why are people worried about Hubredeau, it is just that dinosaur Sutter holding him back once he is gone Hubredeau will be fine.

Lindholm has been absolutely brutal, I’m starting to get concerned on his return value. Laughable to think he was trying to get 9+, at this rate it might be a stretch to get 7.5

I find my interest really waning not so much in the Flames as in the NHL hockey product just because of the officiating. With the stupid game management and the officials turning blind eyes to some things and not to others depending on the nights matchup or who is ahead I think why bother? I want to watch two hockey teams battle eachother with the game called properly, not something the league constantly manipulates to create parity by choosing when to enforce rules or how to interpret them which can differ on a nightly basis. It just sucks the fun out of it.

Didn't see the game today. Dare I find a replay of this missed empty net or just save myself from viewing it...

Sharangovich is a player.

Huberdeau looks like he might be his generation’s Alexei Yashin.

The quest for Celembrimbor continues.
You're right. He does remind me of Quick.

Imagine scoring the winning goal of an NHL game and no one even knows you did it (Alexander Holtz)

I just got around to watching the goal highlights, since I forgot this was an afternoon game... The first one was just a laser that not many goalies would be able to stop, and the other two were scored by our own guys.

Watching that second goal, I was wondering if we got an additional penalty for challenging it, and yep... we did. I'm not sure why that wasn't called back, the guy went down on his own and slid right into Wolf's pad, spinning him part way around while pushing him deep into his net.

That's the way it is, though, I guess. Can't have anyone actually knowing what goaltender interference is!

Sutter held back Kadri, Zary, Coleman and Weegar. He did not hold back Huberdeau I don’t think.

Kadri scored roughly what he had over his career not sure how he was held back at all. Zary wasn't exactly lighting up the AHL last year, maybe letting him develop his game is what let him have the success he is having now, Coleman last year had more points than any in his career odd that is considered holding him back at his age.

He did make him play out of position, frequently on a line with Lucic, and in a system that did not take advantage of his best skills.

Yet, he is statistically worse this year.
