Feel bad for Manoah. He's a very good pitcher who is just lost mentally right now and fighting to get back to where he was. He said after the game that right now he's trying not to throw balls instead of trying to throw strikes. Sums it up pretty good. Hope he finds his game soon, we need him.

Yep, when you're a professional athlete you have to realize you're not only representing yourself but your team.

There's certain things you need to keep away from the public eye even if you feel strongly about them because it can reflect badly not only on yourself but the team. Especially when your team shows support for a subject like the Blue Jays have for the LGBTQ community.

TBH. I’m pissed at the inaction on the Jays part. A hollow PR apology and no suspension. Glad he got booed but the Jays could have and should have done a lot more.

What happened with Yunel Escobar back in the day?... I don't remember.

Regardless I expect they'll try to package him off pretty quickly.

Escobar wore eye black and the messaging on it was way more aggressive from what I remember. Bass was endorsing something more passively through a tweet. So I think just based on that it was a first warning that their visions don’t align and it may be out of ignorance. So I can see why they chose the route they did. And good for them. Again, punishment isn’t always the answer. Escobar had a direct hateful message and deserved the suspension (and the release I believe followed).

Turns on the TV, first thing I see and hear is Gene Principe, so I need a new TV.

My only complaint with MLB tv right now is that they show highlight clips in place of the commercial breaks. Shouldn't be a big deal but they haven't updated the highlights they show since opening day! I'm particularly annoyed by the corny stuff the commentators say over the highlights that I've now seen hundreds of times each.

-Jordan Walker's first MLB hit
-Anthony Volpe's first MLB hit "He'll be hoping for what, 2000 more of those? Hyuck Hyuck"
-Trout and Ohtani hit back to back home runs
-Aaron Judge's first home run of the season "Can we call that 63? Hyuck hyuck"
-Xander Bogaerts first home run as a Padre "X marks the spot!"
-Trayce Thompson hit 3 home runs in a game "No way! Trayce Thompson STOP IT!" (I find this one the most annoying)

That's it. 6 highlights, all from the first couple days of the season.

June 1 and still getting opening day highlights in case anyone was wondering.

He needs to go to the minors. Leaving him in the big league is destroying him mentally.
