In the upcoming Scandinavian battle, I'm taking Denmark over Norway.

Edit: Six games in, my pick is looking very good lol

Looks like Shapo's serving spirit has entered the body of Holger.

2 winners and 10 unforced errors for Ruud in set 1 - Also, Ruud won the first set 6-1. Those kind of stats rarely go together.

Ruud takes it in four sets and will play Zverev in the semi-finals. Casper needs to win at least one more match at RG lol

What's your favorite intergenerational tennis match?

I remember Sampras vs Federer at Wimbledon and me being pissed that some no name beat my guy Pistol Pete

There is also the Rogers Cup final between Agassi and Nadal where Nadal won his first title off clay against the legend. I started that match cheering for Agassi but I left it never cheering against Nadal again.

And who can forget about Serena vs Bianca at the US Open final where a Canadian finally won a Grand Slam in tennis.

Im sure people will have other and older examples, these are just 3 that come to mind for me.

For me it has to be Agassi vs Baghdatis at the 2006 US open.

Baghdatis was just hitting his stride as a professional and Agassi left everything he had on the court that second round.

Just when you thought Andre had fully emptied his tank and had nothing left, Marcos begins to cramp and can barely walk, yet still blasts some winners past an equally belaboured Agassi.

Just a fun and well-spirited match under the Arthur Ashe lights. Great memories.

Jimmy Connors vs. Aaron Krickstein, 1991 US Open round 4. A five set thriller where Jimmy turns back the clock on his 39th birthday defeating his 24 year old opponent who had a two sets to one lead.

I have a couple of more obscure ones. All in 1991 which seemed like a crossover year.

1991 US Open was the last hurrah for McEnroe and Connors. Connors of course made a run to the semis so any of those matches (The Krickstein match especially) were intergenerational and also McEnroe vs Chang (19 years old) 3rd round.

Also the 1991 Davis Cup final. Young Pete Sampras losing to both old guys Forget and Leconte. France's first Davis Cup win since 1932.

Well, I don't feel too bad about Bianca losing the mixed doubles final as Miyu Kato was part of the ladies doubles team who was defaulted for accidently hitting a ball kid and losing all of her French Open prize money earned in doubles.

Muchova takes the opening set over Sabalenka in a tie-break. Really high quality set of tennis from both ladies.

15 years ago today, Nadal had a performance for the ages as he won the 2008 French Open in dominant fashion against Federer, dropping only 4 games.

Chrissie Evert has 7 French Open titles, what are the chances Iga challenges that record?

I'm thinking she has a real chance to surpass that record barring pulling an Ash Barty and retiring from tennis because she wants to do other things.

Can somebody please remove the pins from their Jack Draper voodoo doll? This guy has nothing but bad luck as far as injuries are concerned.

If it weren’t for the mononucleosis, Fed could have maybe doubled his games won…

What a comeback by Muchova in set 3, down 5-2 and reels off five straight games to take the match 7-6 6-7 7-5
