Not offside, and a penalty IMO.

Mexico's wastefulness sure seems like it'll cost them with a late Germany equalizer.

I believe in the Jays.

That was very entertaining. Crazy only one goal was scored.
Mexico looked great, but just lacked a little bit of quality in the final third. They could have had 5.

Step one complete. Lack of finish may bite them eventually but today it was just enough.

From what I recall, Mexico always has a little bit of world cup magic. This could be a fun year.

Not surprised at all, this Germany team is soft in the midfield and slow. Mid field was awful all game. This is not 2014 Germany, Lahm and Schweinsteiger have left a massive hole in the German team. Fullbacks also we’re not good and kept leaving way too much space behind. This never happened with Lahm

Hope Low enjoys Leroy Sane questions, cause here they come. Not that missing him was why they lost, they had no quality in midfield passing, but they're coming anyway.

Watching Mexico’s counter attack was a lot of fun for a football fan, heart attack inducing for me as a Germany fan. Mexico had a great game, they deserved the win.

I thought he flopped. Which seems to be a common theme with people named Hernandez so far this WC.

Yeah, have to credit the Mexicans, they were full value for that win and the score really flatters the Germans.
What concerns me the most was the Germans' form.
They went full-out attack with the wingbacks bombing up and often leaving just Hummels and Boateng at the back, and while those guys are world class defenders they're going to lose a footrace against Mexico's forwards.
So Germany were effectively playing with a back 2 and often when Boateng was going up even just Hummels back there.
Whats worse though was their absolute lack of creativity in attack.
They had lots of possession, lots of crosses but just no real creation. That worries me.
Mario Gomez and Rafa Marquez were on the field at the same time....what year is it?
