Me too.

Agreed. Andy MacDonald's PTO in no way interferes with this hope.

^ If he's taking minutes from Kylington, I think it might. The kid is talented. Give him all the runway you can headed into the season.

(waiting now for that guy who hates Kylington to chime in)

But in what alternate universe would a PTO be taking away minutes from a prospect with +50 NHL games during training camp? Hence the utter lack of concern here, since Kylington will be among the players we should all expect to get the most reps before the season. Moreover, because MacDonald plays the right side, this should have even less impact on Kylington's TC minutes.

To be clear, Andrew MacDonald shouldn't play a game in the NHL for the Flames this season...barring like five injuries on defense.

With that out of the way, this is exactly the type of PTO I'm a fan of and I hope the Flames sign him to an AHL deal as well.

MacDonald is a beast in the weight room, trains with Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon in the off season, plays every shift like it's overtime of a playoff game, and is LOVED by teammates. With him in the minors you have a guy who is a charismatic leader, leads by example with both off-ice habits and on-ice play, and can credibly show the youngsters just how hard the best players in the game work. A perfect mentor.

I think that in training camp, Kylington will probably be playing higher up in the line-up than normal?
