Further proving the people in BC and Ontario have no taste - those breakfast sandwiches were nasty. Never tried the burger though.

I'm not a fan of those ultra processed beyond meat things.

Give me a nice veggie black bean burger all day long.

I tried their BM breakfast sandwich once. It was hard to tell if it was the ingredient itself, or just the typical mediocre product from Tim Hortons...but either way, I will not be missing it.

I had a beyond meat burger once from A&W, the patty is actually pretty gross. It's like you are chewing on some soaked grind up cardboard...

They should probably just phase out their entire food menu. They're terrible at it.

I always think vegetarian food that tries to simulate meat taste / texture pretty gross. Don't think I've ever had one that tasted good. This beyond meat thing has always seemed pretty nasty to me.

I do enjoy actual vegetarian food that aren't trying to simulate meat, ie. veggie pizza, mushroom and bell pepper dishes.

I don't know why so many restaurants are alway bloating themselves into mediocrity.

Do one or two things, and do it well. Tim Hortons should be focusing on making the best damn coffee and pastries they can. It doesn't have to be high end by any means, just ensure the experience is dependable and efficient.

Probably because its a couple steps from dog food.

Not making their core product the worst in the industry if you don't jam it up with 18% fat creamer and sugar would be a good start.

I had one at a BBQ before at it was actually pretty good IMO. It was a private function with caterers though, so they knew what they were doing. I would probably not cook it as well.

In-n-Out burger haven't changed their menu since 1948 and are one of the most popular chains in the West. They are the Chick-Fil-A of burgers.

I bought the beyond meat burger and a teen burger to try side by side.

The BMB to me sorta tasted like rinsed cold turkey or something. The burger was also far less salty than the teen burger which emphasized that weird taste and texture.

I've had veggie burgers that were tasty and delicious before. The BMB was barely acceptable, and I wasn't ever going to pay eat another one.

Yeah, I think their menu has like 8 things on it? Was worth trying last time I was in California, although the 45 minute wait was hard to justify. It's a good burger, but still just a burger.

Yeah, same. In-n-Out was alright and I'd go back. But at the same time, it is not something I'll go out of my way to have again.

As far as Tims goes, I actually prefer their ice coffee to McDonalds. Probably because of all the sugar nik points out. Their muffins are amazing for some reason, and the chili is pretty good. Other than that, I'll take Second Cup. Starbucks only if (a) I'm desperate and (b) someone else is paying.

And as far as non-meat burgers go, I miss Burger Inn. Their vegetarian patty was pretty good back in the day.

But didn't someone mention that Tim's had a huge revenue problem that most customers didn't see because we're all there during busy times - that they kill it during morning rush hour, coffee breaks but really didn't do well any other times?

Hence having to try something to attract people at other times, aka lunch. I mean I get it, they blew it and can't do anything right, but the idea that they had to diversify the menu to attract revenue outside of a few busy hours wasn't incorrect or dumb.
