Enjoying the demo of Octopath Traveller as I am a fan of old school jrpg's, but I'm not sure I can justify $80 for it. Maybe it will go on sale in a few months. $50 seems about right for it.
Okay, I've played about 6 hours of this now and it's really, really good. Don't sleep on this one, especially at it's price (I think it's only $16.99). Fantastic art and music, great combat, tight platforming, lots of content and exploration, good challenge... it's brilliant.

I'm in the mid-late game and some of the late bosses are giving me fits (Grimm, 2nd round of Hornet). It's awesome. My only complaint is that the fast travel points are a bit too spread out and the check points a few rooms further from boss rooms than they need to be.

Mario Tennis Aces has a solid mechanical foundation. It's just fun at the end of the day (until you start getting deeper into playing competitively and realizing there are some balancing issues).
Other than that the main stuff holding it back is everything else around doesn't really feel fleshed out or polished. Single player is neat sometimes, missing options, etc
I'm having fun with it but can't help but to wonder who dropped the ball on some of these things.
I wonder if they left a lot to update as people get more and more into it.
I always get physical. It's annoying to swap them, but you can sell them on Kijiji after you finish them or get bored with them to make some money back.
I'd love to go digital but considering how well physical resell prices hold their value + making it easier to trade/sell games to be able to play other, physical is typically the way to go for me.

I just want to play through Zelda and Mario without shelling out $500+ but can’t find any used systems. Do I have any options in this post Blockbuster era?
