Looks like De Minaur injured himself on match point and people are expecting him to pull out before his quarterfinals match against Djokovic.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Hugh Clarke is a fan of Patrick Mouratoglou lol

Jannik Sinner just went off court for a MTO - It looked like they took his blood pressure to see how he was feeling. Sinner took the opening set, but lost set 2 and looks quite lethargic out there at the moment.

The guy is so talented but he's also so skinny and it seems like his conditioning at times can be a problem in grand slams.

Sinner and Meddy are going the distance - It's been a strange match with both guys playing good tennis at times, but rarely at the same time (except for that opening set).

Meddy takes it rather easily in set 5 (serving it out to love and winning the set 6-3). Pretty easy to see Sinner was not feeling great at all today and tried to hang in there as well as he could.

Jasmine Paolini is so fun to watch, a 5'3" pepper pot who tears the cover off the ball. Superior athlete with an all-around game, likes to come to net and finish off points, just flowing with confidence currently.

Meanwhile, Charlie played possum and Tommy Paul took the opening set before Alcaraz decided "okay, you got your 1 set, I'll give you 8 total games over the next three sets".

When Paul won the first set I actually thought he had a chance as he's had a really good grass court season. However when Alcaraz flips the switch and is on his game, he's for my money the best player in the world.

I think Alcaraz has the highest ceiling while Sinner has the highest level of consistency. To put it another way, when Alcaraz is playing his best level, he's almost impossible to beat, but Sinner is right there and even a small decrease in form is enough for the Italian to win.

It was interesting to see Meddy moving much closer to the baseline to return serve today versus Sinner, it certainly paid dividends and I think it's something he should do more often.

As expected De Minaur pulls out and Djokovic is through to the semis. Feel terrible for De Minaur, he was playing some fantastic tennis lately and to get injured on match point is so cruel

Yeah that's really unfortunate for the Demon and for the fans as it would have been an interesting match. Djokovic will definitely benefit from being well rested for the semifinal.

Fritz has been broken more times today by Musetti than in his entire grass season. Novak has to be licking his chops regardless of who prevails today.

Fritz is falling apart here in set 3. Both guys are trying to make their maiden slam semi-final and the nerves are showing.

Fritz has forced a deciding 5th set - Anybody's match at this point.

Edit: Musetti ran away with set 5 winning it 6-1

I really thought Fritz would win this one as he has the better service game. I'm pretty surprised to see Musetti in a Wimbledon semifinal. There's really nothing about his game that typically translates to a lot of success on grass as he's not a big server, great net player, or overpowering ground stroke guy. It really does go to show how the surfaces have changed over the decades with less disparity in the speeds of hard court, grass, and clay.

Slices on grass are still useful at least, if all the other guy wants to do is baseline rally

Musetti showcased some excellent defensive skills in this match in my opinion and the Fritz serve and forehand really let him down today. Musetti has given Novak some trouble in the past before Djokovic usually figures things out and ends up the victor and Novak having all this extra rest will certainly be a big advantage.
