Yeah, the things the mayor asked for (which were arguably not even moving the posts) were minimal. The actual cost escalation was already on the Flames and they grabbed the exit door.

I don't think Johnny is an angel here and I'm pissed about his decision to leave us for Columbus. But this organization has felt rotten ever since Harley died and Doc Seaman stepped away at the same time.

Cause it was a tad too close to home.

If he had been willing to accept the money, that would have clearly signalled that he was willing to stay long-term in Calgary. What was he going to do, get paid by Calgary and play for Columbus?

This is a non-issue.

to me I would guess the fishbowl he and his family were under.
Would only take a couple of jerks saying something rude to them when they were out shopping.
And maybe she wasn't a fan of the constant attention they probably received when they were out, no matter if it was mostly positive.

I also would love to know about the conversations on Tuesday and what was said by Edwards.

Depressed as hell right now. Looks like ownership messed up

Think I need to take some time away from the internet for a while.

Minimal? Like 20 or 30 mill for solar panels and area redevelopment AFTER the deal was signed?

He has a blue checkmark next to his name, therefore his opinion is important.

Involved charismatic owners are the absolute worst.

The hallmark of the perennial rebuilding team.

I think more Kent Nilsson, a great player forever in the Flames records book, I believe he had the best season ever for in points, but no legacy, and the turd dissed the Flames when he became an Oiler.

That makes no sense. If it's phony it's not a real deadline. If they would have walked away anyway then the Flames at least get their answer days or weeks ahead of the 13th which is the whole idea behind the deadline.

Yeah he just showboats on Twitter to try to show off for the fanbase.

If he was serious about it he wouldn't be trying to do business via Twitter...with a guy that's not on Twitter.
