Show started off great, but last couple episodes have been pretty "meh"

This show feels more like a movie cut up into 20 minute chunks, rather than a tv series.
I love the concept and the actors, but there hasn't been a satisfying episode so far, as there are no distinct stories, and I don't see how there's more than one short season worth of material.

The only good scenes are those with Forte and Schall, Jones and now "Todd" just add nothing to the show

"Our babies need *OTHER* babies to have sex with! I mean, that's just Parenting 101!"
“Oh no...please don’t play a song on the guitar for me.”
#### The Bullies: “Well, they’re all dead now, so.”
Phil spying on Melissa and Todd at the amusement park was great.
Phil's Post-It Notes about Shawshank outside Melissa's door.
Also, Phil suggesting the men go "skins" for the tennis match, revealing Todd's kidney scar.

I think they should have taken longer to introduce more characters, but I suppose they have no guarantee of a second season.

Well this show has really taken a nosedive now, the only funny part of the last 2 episodes was Phil trying to deal with his poo pool. Don't even think I'll make it the full season on this one

They need to move on from Phil being jealous of Todd.
So much they could explore - what happened to everyone? Will Mexicans arrive in Tucson?
Will they develop a society with politics, law and an economy? Health care, energy, agriculture.

Yeah, through the first 7 or so episodes, there's really been only one plot arc. It's really wasting the opportunity of the premise. I was reading an article about Forte a while ago and it was talking about what a control-freak he is as a writer, going back to his SNL days, and it really feels here like he's making himself be too much at the centre of everything. The show really needs to expand out from simply being about Phil. I'm trying to stick with it, but the last three episodes have been really testing my patience.

I don't watch a ton of comedies so I dunno what to compare it to, but I agree that this has taken quite a dive from what was originally a very solid first two episodes.

“Last Man on Earth” does some arc work tonight. Almost certainly for the best.

After episode 9 I cringed so much I couldn't watch episode 10. I need a stress break before watching them back to back. Jesus.

I almost shut it off too, but episode 10 got better. I'll be happy if he turns down the creepiness a few notches for the rest of the season.

Did the exact same thing. Started out funny and has progressed to moronic.
