Great depth. It would be nice if they could add another lefty to give Mayza a break.
Don't forget Swanson.

Whats the point of spending all that money on a retractable roof

That is interesting. I'll have to read it later but I'd think it's the rain. I understood why the Skydome was originally built as a multipurpose facility at the time (as it was all the rage back then), but what I don't get is why any new facility has to be covered? NY, Boston, and those cities with similar climates don't do it. What makes it a necessity? Personally I do like the option available. The Skydome/Rogers Centre on a nice summer day can be a decent facility.

It feels that there was way more hype last off season on this team. This off season haven't really heard much, but I feel this team will be even better this year.

Last year the two pitchers with the worst BABIP were Berrios and Gausman

The improved D should lengthen our starters , preserve the bullpen , and allow proper managing

If Bo and Vlad play like they can this team can be a top contender

Buck just said this team reminds him of the '92 and '93 teams. That's a big statement.

My guess is they keep Richards too as he handles lefties pretty well. And when White is back from the DL, he’ll definitely be in the bullpen. So that would likely be the end of Pearson and Pop until they need to come up due to injuries.

If Pearson is healthy and performing he should be in the MLB. It'd be pretty dumb to waste any healthy innings the guy gives the org in the minors.

Yeah, I like it. Way too much bravado and hype last off season.

Hopefully this version just quietly and efficiently goes about winning baseball games at a high percentage.

Should be better D, better pitching, better BP and I don't think the offense took as big of a drop off as many think.

Pretty cool.

In MLB: The Show 23's official season sim the Blue Jays finished first in the league with a 108-54 record but lost to the Astros in the ALCS who lost to the Braves in the World Series.

The Yankees didn't even make the playoffs.

I'd say hitting that mark is next to impossible in our division with questionable hitters in the lineup. It's fun and all, totally get it, but if anyone is racking up that record it's the Yanks.

FYI, for those who haven't heard the news yet, Pat Tabler has been hired to do the occasional Cleveland Guardians broadcasts. As much as I got annoyed at his talking, he certainly deserved a good farewell. He was a genuine human being. Glad he landed on his feet there.

Agreed. Baseball is weird with options and Pearson and Pop have options (Poptions? ) while Richards and White don’t…so they’ll have to do something pretty special to force the Blue Jays to DFA either of them.

Yeah heard some stats on Gausman earlier today. Like -10 outs above average when he's pitching. Of course the babip

Thankfully they're deeper in the pen and they have some options this year. And if Chad Green comes back in the summer they won't have to waste assets to try and get another reliver at the deadline.

Pearson was sent down today - hopefully he destroys triple A and is back up soon.

That’s unfortunate. He seemed good to be on the opening day roster. Hard to say if this will hurt his confidence or not but I’m sure they consulted internally on just that in making this decision.
