Sure seems like it. I wonder it they have the ability to ask for a different judge, but it's probably Cannon herself that would make that decision.

How can someone possibly get bail - after seeing these indictments?

not a danger to the public, unlikely (unable) to reoffend and a bit too famous to abscond covers the three basic factors when considering bail

The indictments are just bonkers. Any other person would be up for treason and possibly the death penalty. He was passing out top secret defense strategies and nuclear planning and bragging about the fact that they were top secret and that he wasn't allowed to have them. In the indictments that have actually added quoted text from interviews and press conference beside them for reference where he both claims to have the documents and not to have them. Just crazy stuff.

And he stored them in a ####ing bathroom!

The most astounding thing about these charges, for me at least, isn't Trump's recklessness nor his alleged attempts to conceal and cover up, it's the absence of a clear motive for the offences.

He obviously knew the retention and concealment of these records was criminal, so why did he take steps to withhold them when turning them over would have been so easy to do?

The absence of a clear answer to this question suggests there are probably - or at least should be - further investigations underway. With Trump it could be a matter of pure ego, but his other usual driver beyond the usual self-aggrandizement is profit, which is much more concerning where sensitive records are concerned.

One of the things he supposedly kept was Mark Milley's plan to attack Iran.. The New Yorker reported that Milley and others were trying to convince Trump not to attack Iran. Trump was mad about that, did he keep the plan to prove it wasn't him that planned the attack so he could show it to others?

That seems like something Trump would do. Otherwise yeah why does he keep all the stuff?

And yet this lunatic is still the leading candidate for the GOP by a country mile, and could very possibly become POTUS again in 2024. Like how the f*** is that allowed?? It's beyond insane.

America is broken.

People know this is all bs. They are tired of being lied to from government and media.

This is obvious corruption using DOJ to go after a political opponent because that’s all the Democrats have left to try and remain in power.

The real question is how anyone actually believes these charges are legit.

Johnson knew he was either going to lose his seat in a by-election or at the next general election.

He jumped before he was going to be pushed.

But as the political equivalent of herpes, he’ll be back - catapulted into a safe seat. This resignation facilitates that without having to be rejected by his current constituents.

Law enforcement harassing black people and leftists = heroes

Law enforcement going after Republicans and comservatives = obvious corruption

imagine being that brainwashed that your takeaway from all of this is "it's obviously corruption by the DOJ". What a time to be alive.

my first instinct is to feel a bit sad for these people, but at the same time, it really is hard to feel pity for people who have the truth right in front of them and choose to be braindead cultists instead.
