Sultans of Swing got played to death. You could tell he was bored of it, it was the only one in his live set he rushed through. He was totally into all 12+ minutes of Telegraph Road. Maybe the best song performance I’ve seen live.

I had a few contenders between a few songs by Nick Cave, Joe Henry, Tom Waits, PJ Harvey and Gillian Welch, but Higgs Bosun Blues seems to be my most played song between the contenders, so I'll go with that as the tiebreaker.
Possession - Sarah McLachlan
Silent Lucidity - Queensryche
Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order
Running to Stand Still - U2
Weapon - Matthew Good
There was some spillover into the early 2000s, but the 90s really were the last great decade of music. The has been a handful of really great stuff since then but it's pretty slim pickings.

Seems to be the song I always list as my favorite. Depending on my mood or interests at the time, sometimes I can get behind anything by any band.
Courage was basically my introduction to The Hip. I didn't really care for the band at first and then I really started to listen to their music and realized how good it truly was and I played the heck out of the Fully Completely CDs, yes CDs as I had to re-purchase it a couple of times due to wearing it out. I have no worries about wearing out my spotify account like I did CDs.
I could probably list quite a few songs that could easily be considered favorites too but Courage seems to be the go to answer for me.

Scored TOOL tickets this morning and it had me thinking about Bad Religion. Last time I saw them was at Flames Central (or whatever the F it's called then/now) before Covid. This is probably the longest I've gone between Bad Religion shows in my whole adult life. They may have played Edmonton a couple summers ago (were they at the show with The Descendants?), but I missed that due to a family emergency situation in the States. Had tickets and everything.
Let it be - The Beatles
Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones
Ah! Leah! - Donnie Iris
Drivers Seat - Sniff ‘n’ the Tears
Madman Across the Water - Elton John
Time - Pink Floyd
And I’ll echo Telegraph Road - Dire Straits
Plus, plus, plus

I think this would be one of all my time: it's two blended but it really captures the Alberta scenes cape in my imagination. Bird on a Wire is my favourite.
Of course Bird on a Wire written by Leonard Cohen *** who has another 1st potential.
