I don't think it's a limitation of advanced stats at all...it's more understanding what the stat is telling you.
xGF means that those three players are potentially the teams best at limiting / generating scoring chances for the Canes.
But what xGF% isn't telling you is what that players finishing ability is to actually cash in on those chances.
Play driving doesn't mean play finishing.
