Costco? They’re free.

Suitable for a house move? I had no idea. Should I call first or do I just show up?

Oh, no well maybe. I guess it depends on the stuff you’re packing. They’re just the big sturdy banana boxes they offer.

I think places like Uhaul sell proper moving boxes pretty cheap.

where abouts are you? I've got about 12-15 boxes I used for moving that I was about to put on kijiji/facebook for free. They are yours if you want them. I'm in Wentworth.

I have a furniture store and we are constantly recycling cardboard boxes that could be used. PM me for what you need and I can ask my warehouse to set aside some for you. We can save dresser and Night Stand boxes.

Another tip, wrap all sorts of #### in saran wrap. Dirt cheap, custom shapes, easy to do, excellent protection for a few seconds worth of work.

Liquor stores are the best source for free boxes.

I’d say a roll of paper from Ikea is pretty cheap - or go to Ikea, buy a single glass and wrap the hell out of it with their free packing paper.

^^ This stuff is $5 though.

U-line doesn't seem to bad.

The stuff the pros use is the 24"x36", it comes in 25lb bundles for a little over $50.00

I don't know if it's still a thing but you used to be able to go to a moving company's warehouse and they'd have big boxes of used paper from after they have unpacked a customer. They keep it to use as fill but they end up with way too much of it to re-use.

The downside to the death of print journalism. It's hard to find packing paper.

For stuff that doesn't need full on bubble wrap, consider saran wrap. A large roll from Costco won't cost much and will be more than enough. Saran wrap wads plus wrapping items with saran wrap could work. Saran wrap also sticks to the object and contours around it, vs bubble wrap doesn't do that.

My parents moved recently and we saved a bunch of packing paper. Let me know if you still need any, we have lots.
