Its actually interesting - she has no path for success in the GOP and as Azure's post shows - she is about as Conservative as they come. Does she just completely shift and become a Democrat or just leave politics and make money doing whatever it is politicians do to make millions of dollars magically.

She's not going to shift. As her actual political record shows, she's a Trump supporter through and through. All of a sudden deciding 'oh I don't actually support him' doesn't mean that she can hide her history.

The whole thing is hilarious to watch while the media is desperate to try and spin her as something other than a complete loser who supported a loser and his loser politics.

She also has no shot at winning the GOP nom. Everything she's doing now is an attempt to stay relevant long enough to grab a cushy media or lobbying gig.

She absolutely has no chance of winning the GOP nomination, but it's a bit weird to characterize her as a Trump supporter when she fought tooth and nail to have him impeached and charged criminally.

Because she thought the political winds were changing.

She's pathetic. Zero Cheney's in politics = better for everyone.

There's no way in my opinion she runs in 2024. Does she run as an Independent lol? She's not running as a Dem either as she's very conservative. No chance she's running for the GOP.

Liz Cheney might run to take the Anti-Trump Republican vote.

She wouldn't be running to win the election, but run to help enable a Trump loss.

She'll only run for president as an independent if Trump is the Republican candidate?
And if he's not, then what?

Or she'll stop Trump from within, don't think she would have enough support.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!

It’s her only goal in politics at this point: keep Trump out of the White House. Whatever it takes.

The GOP is shifting from trump but it’s not towards Cheney it’s towards DeSantis.

Ya I don't think for a second Cheney is going to run because she thinks it might stop Trump, I don't agree with that at all.

Trumps done. He may never get charged or face actual consequences, but he is done politically aside from endorsements that mean nothing and speeches at conventions.

I tend to think Trump is done because I don't think he'll run again. But he will 100% be the nominee if he does run. The cult is arguably more deranged and committed than ever, DeSantis is angling for the "if Trump doesn't run" candidacy, but Trump will wipe the floor with him.

mhhmmmm, I don't know about that. DeSantis is very savvy, and Trump is a buffoon. I think Ron would take him in a debate pretty easily.

Trump has baggage that DeSantis does not, and DeSantis basically parrots everything Trump does. There's no reason a Trumper would choose Trump over DeSantis at this point.

Everyone would take Trump in a debate pretty easily. It doesn't matter to the MAGA cult. They don't care.

In other words, a Republican. Which obviously means supporting some policies that you don't like and some that you find heinously objectionable, but that's not the "fascist" part and it's dumb to conflate them. If the GOP could just go back to being backwards anti-abortionist bible thumpers who want to cut taxes and government spending and leave people without Healthcare it would actually be a marked improvement from the party of Trump.
