Default FREE: 51" Hitachi Rear Projection HDTV

Hey guys,

Instead of trying to sell this rear projection HDTV I've decided to just donate it to someone on CP who might have space for it. My dad just got a new TV on boxing day so don't have room for this anymore. The TV is in great working order and is high def (1080i), so the picture quality is pretty solid. I watch hockey and movies on it pretty regularly and it looks pretty good to me. Great if you have a large games room or basement setup.

Model is Hitachi 51F500. It has 2 component hookups for Hi Def peripherals.

The only condition is that the thing is heavy -- so you will be responsible for picking it up and transporting it. You might want to hire a mover with a big truck and some experience moving heavy furniture. The TV is currently in my basement and its a pretty open and easy path up the stairs and out the door. It does have wheels so once you get it where you want it you can wheel it around.

PM me if interested, post any relevant questions in the thread and I'll post the answers.

If you want some additional info on the specs of the tv you can read them on this link:

http://www.blu-ray.com/Hitachi-51F500/13329/?show=specs

Thanks.

Isn't it nuts.

Now you have to give away a perfectly good, 7 or 8 year old TV that was like 3 grand new.

I remember our Oak cabinet 25" Zenith that was considered a piece of furniture. That thing was with us for 15 years or something. Now a TV is considered outdated after 2 years.

Pretty much tells the story. This TV is still pretty good, movies look great on it. But you don't get much for it in a world full of LEDs, Plasmas, and anything flat panel. When my dad first got it it was state of the art..and expensive.
