When I was giving away the couches I had a guy show up in a Toyota Corolla. I had already given them away, and he was seriously pissed he missed out on somehow putting 2 giant sectionals on his roof rack.
It was great weekend entertainment.

As if the damn vehicle didn't look like a hearse already, they strap a casket looking object on top. Great capture, Tron.

The actual name of the car. That's not a PT Cruiser. Similar, but actually different.
EDIT:
HHR is name.
POS is piece of ...
SS, trim available.
I think.

Ok, but what would be documentation of such and agreement? there is no "Buy it now" or "commit to buy" function on Kijiji? That being said i have never had an issue either on buying or selling, i can usually weed out a bad transaction in email communication.
Here is a recent ruling on a real estate deal in NL:
“People who agree to buy and sell goods on Kijiji do not normally expect to be bound until they have the opportunity to inspect the goods, even though they may have agreed to the essential terms. The general understanding is that the first person to make it to the door with cash in hand is the buyer. People who buy goods on eBay know well the risks of buying without an inspection, but are provided with ways of evaluating the trustworthiness of the vendor before pushing the enter key to confirm a bid or to exercise the “Buy it Now” option. Frankly, there is more legal formality surrounding the millions of transactions that occur daily on eBay than what occurred in the present case. Parties to a real estate transaction who are strangers usually fix a closing date, obtain a deposit and, most importantly, sign a formal purchase and sale agreement. “

I'd say the circumstances of the case matter, and it's certainly pretty weird to buy real estate on Kijiji, but the notion that the way people "usually do it" somehow makes Kijiji purchases the exception to contract law is silly. Feel free to link me to the decision, but what you've posted there is just wrong as a general statement, so I'd have to assume there are some facts in that case that indicate that there was no acceptance of the offer.
What I'm referring to is the typical Kijiji case - I see your ad for an iPhone. "New in box", it says. You're asking $600. I text you, say I'll give you $500. You say, "sure, I'm a 1000 ABC Street, you can pick it up at 7". At that point we have a binding contract. If at 6:30 I'm on my way down to you (because this is Kijiji so you inevitably live somewhere vaguely proximate to Narnia) you text and say, "sorry, someone else came and got it", or "someone just offered me $550, so unless you're willing to pay that I'm selling it to them", you've breached a contract. Full stop. As I keep pointing out, this is more just an annoyance than anything, but technically and legally, it's the case.

Problem is sellers like that price thier items accordingly. Prime example in the link below.

It took me 5 minutes to come outside to talk to them, it probably took them much longer to drive over. If they want to invest that much time and go home empty handed, have at 'er.

He was being a dick about it, just expecting me to give him a deal because I was out of time to resell and he was there. I have guys ask for a deal and just said no and it's okay but this guy just pissed me off.

It's saying that when Sliver is the voice of reason, you've gone way, way too far.

That is what I feared. Seppuku may be the only road left to me at this point.

How long do you guys inspect items you buy off Kijiji? Do any of you guys buy things sight unseen?

Have definitely stopped bothering with Kijiji over the years, both because playing with 'new' phones is no longer interesting and I need to stop adding to my camera gear when I shoot as little as it is.
Worst times would be when I stupidly agreed to meet up with somebody who contacted me that evening, to sell him a basic DSLR body and lens at a Tim Hortons parking lot. It's dark, at night and with a stranger. Not the smartest thing I've said yes to.
Luckily some coworkers I was having dinner with decided to save me and tag along. Buyer was a super nice guy in end, just desperate to find things to start a photography program at a school.
