Free Fable II download for 360

I usually don't like to post things like this - but I just did it and it actually works. And by works I mean it added it to my download queue

Follow these instructions:

Instructions to ensure this works:
1. Login at www.xbox.com
2. Close that window
3. Click this link: http://slickdeals.net/?sdtid=2300...004d5307f1
4. It should get you to the page that says it is free and you should be logged in
5. If it says you already purchased it, Click the button to download it again because it is defnitely a different much larger file and thus should be the full game this time.

I clicked the link before I logged in. Got to the site fine. Closed the window.

Opened up xbox.com, logged in, then tried to open the slickdeals link again, now it won't open.

Apparently after playing Episode 1 the game will say you cannot go any further.

Oh FFS, now it's not allowing logins from the net. You have to be at your Xbox to do it.

silentsim, Ive heard that is the case for some people, but others say it works fine through out. for the time it takes to download, i figured it's worth the risk.

Near the bottom, it has the green Download button. I press it, and I get a pop-up window,

Did you log into xbox.com with your account first? You have to log in there, close out that window - then go to that slickdeals site and click there link - it then takes you back to xbox.com to the Fable II page - it SHOULD say "Already Purchased" and then select add to queue.

Wait.. it says on the slickdeals website that you have to have the most up to date dashboard on your 360.

Was the new dashboard released today?

Also, Slickdeals is now reporting the deal is dead, according to the comments page.

For whatever it's worth, there are a pile of MS employees saying that this is only for the first chapter, and that you have to buy the rest of the chapters from the Marketplace to keep playing it.

Also, it's not working anymore anyway.

FYI the new dashboard isn't out until November- for Kinnect and I the new searchable Netflix app which I assume means netflix.ca streaming since there is no cuing system on Netflix.ca
