Had the McRib yesterday for the first time. It's ok, not as great as people hype it out to be. I think I'd rather have a QP.
People really exaggerate how bad McDonalds is to their system imo. Is it great health wise, not really. But I have it like maybe one or two times a month, and each time its fricking delicious.

If you get a diet soda, must of their meals are 700-900 calories. Most restaurant meals are much worse. Obviously having fries is never great for you. Most of the sandwiches really aren't that bad.
You mean like the Filet-O-Fish? garbage parts of a de-boned Pollock(a fish sometimes used as lobster and crab bait). bleached, pressed and made into a filet.
Welcome to fast food
I don’t think a lot of fast food is worthy of the hype it creates. Has there even been a single glowing review of this sandwich yet? It has been mostly a mix of “not as good as I remember“ and “not the worst thing I have eaten”.

And the worst is those people always say it like we don't all already know it. EVERYONE knows it's not healthy, nobody is going to McDonald's thinking it's a good way to fuel your body. It's just a thing we enjoy sometimes, and that's okay
Edit: Same with diet pop. Whenever it comes up somebody else inevitably goes 'You know it's still bad for you, right?' Uh, yeah, of course we know that. Nobody orders a coke zero thinking it's like getting a kale shake

Really you can go to a pub for a few dollars more and get a far superior burger but it comes down to convenience. I kind of think A&W burgers are pretty solid for a fast food burger and then there's always Five Guys and places like that.

Sweet Chili Junior Chicken sounds promising, but I've made my own combos with filet o fish and Junior chicken and they didn't fare well, so I have my doubts. As others mentioned, brutally dry. But the flavors also clashed. Apple pie McFlurry... meh. I think it'll be OK, but not amazing.
TBH, I'd rather sit down with some McNugget sauces and experiment that way. Like a Junior chicken with hot mustard instead of mayo and fries instead of lettuce. I wonder if that would be any good. Spicy habanero sauce in the DQB might work too.
The WcDonald's sauce was alright, pretty good, but didn't feel like it synergized with the nuggets well enough. But now in hindsight, I think it would actually improve the McRib and make it a bit more interesting...
Dammit. I'll have to go to a 24/7 McDs when I leave work later.
