Bennett hit on Slavin, causing chaos in the crease, being his surly playoff self again.

Lomberg, reliably bringing it with limited minutes, scoring a big goal, remember when we loved him here?

Tkachuk, did you hear what Barkov and Bob said about him?

#### you GMBT!

No one is forgetting that. The apologists are twisting themselves in knots trying to avoid the why he wanted out.

Three game winners in a single series is pretty remarkable. Two of them coming in OT and the third coming with 4 seconds left to win the series is just amazing sports entertainment and sports excellence. Getting the primary assist on the other game winner in a 1-0 game, is hard to believe. That's a playoff series performance for the ages. He earned that celebration and it will be a classic moment in Panthers history that will get replayed again and again.

Sometimes. But sometimes it is luck.

Consistently elite teams will have a strong PDO. Tampa, Colorado etc.

But when you see wild year to year fluctuations in PDO, and sometimes even Wild fluctuations from regular season to playoffs that is luck.

I doubt Florida has done something defensively that has allowed their goalies to put up a .928 save percentage in the playoffs even though they have 47.1% high danger split and a 45.8% xGF% split. I guess giving up more chances and shots than the regular season was the answer!

Florida has allowed 2.4 Goals Against per 60 on an expected goals against of 3.52 goals against per 60. That is a remarkable goaltending performance.

That is after giving up 3.29 goals against per 60 on an expected goals against of 3.27 goals against per 60 in the regular season.

Bobrovsky has played out of his mind and Tkachuk/Barkov/Verhaghe/Bennett have provided timely offense. The formula isn't that hard to understand.

Kinda sucks the Heat are about to advance to the Finals too, they're grabbing most of the sports attention in that town right now I'm sure. Good chance for the Panthers to really grow the game down there.

They are going to build a statue of Bill Zito outside the rink. Greatest trade in FLA history.

Geography was a factor

First thing he talked about was shorts and flip flops

Yeah. They’ve played really well and hence have a good PDO

He wanted out because he didn't want to play here.

Bridge Contract, Sutter, Covid lockdowns, weather, etc all played a factor.

In the end he could have re-signed for 8 years and $10.5M if he wanted to stay, and he still wanted out.

It's not really twisting anything into knots. The guy made a decision to do what he thought was best for him, and in the end it sucks for the Flames who at least on-ice gave him every opportunity to become a star from day 1.

If Florida wins the cup, Tkachuk's Theo-like slide is going to be bronzed by the front doors of their stadium somewhere down the line.

I think we lost that trade...

So Bobrovsky going from being seen as the worst contract in the NHL, to being benched down the stretch and to start the playoffs, to coming in down 3-1 and having a .942 save percentage in the last 12 games where he's went 11-1-0 isn't luck.

I personally don't think giving up 3.7 expected goals against per 60, and allowing only 2.4 goals against per 60 is "playing really well"

But sure.

This was my prediction.

Bob put up a .966 in this series. 6 goals against on 18.9 xGA.

If he "only" put up a .943 they might not have won because it would have been 4 more goals against and every game was a 1 goal game.

LOL

Sure.
How dare you!

Team that got outshot 47-25 and and out HD chanced 18-3 in game 5 vs. Boston played great and didn't steal that win at all!

(is what someone is about to say)

I'm not sure how anyone can honestly not give the bulk of the credit to the goalie here and its not even a bad thing...similar to 04 Kipper

Same skaters are 1-3 with the other guy in net

I desperately want Tkachuk to get the Cup. Bennett's a bonus.
