All I can get

Is Hall's equipment bag still sitting in the corridor outside the dressing room? The game's been over for an hour now. Wish there was a webcam for this or some other way to get updates.

I wasn't really interested in seeing the Flames trade for Hall before, but with Wards propensity to mix up the lines and his willingness to play Lindholm at center, I might be warming up to the idea some.
I just hate the idea of giving up a bunch of futures though, and if they do they better be sure they can extend him at a fair price that doesnt cripple the cap going forward.

He's going to get overpaid. There will be no fair price for a Hall extension.

More than likely yes, but you never know. Duchene chose destination over maximum contract. Its rare, but it does happen.

Two problems:
1. There's no way he will sign an extension unless he's sure he will get at least as much as he would if he went to free agency. I suspect he will be asking for $11M X 7-8 years for an extension.
2. He's a left-shooting left winger who would be coming to a team with two high-end left-shooting left wingers. What we need is a right-shooting centre or right winger, that's where we are organizationally weaker, and putting Johnny or MT on the right side just isn't the same as having a high-end right winger. The only way I would make a trade for Hall would be if it was Gaudreau and Lucic for a signed Hall, because we don't need both Gaudreau and Hall, and Johnny's cap hit is a heck of a lot better than Hall's is or will be going forward. That trade, of course, would never happen.

No idea who that Eve person is supposed to be, but Lexi Carrick would be Connor Carrick's wife.

"eve_exotic" has 18 Instagram followers and none of those are at all connected to Taylor Hall or the New Jersey Devils. That seems to be grasping at the thinnest straws.

Agreed, Hall may give up a Shmil per to go to a top 5 destination in the league too. Calgary will not be so fortunate, we will pay full price. And Hall is the one position we dont need.

Many of us would disagree with this. I will be glad when he goes elsewhere so we don't have the trade thread gummed up with the horrible notion of adding Hall to our roster. Whomever adds this guy is going to regret it in short order. I am more than fine with the Avs getting him, let him bleed goals for them.

I sure hope they do. They are a divisional rival on the rise, anything that hurts them long term is fine by me. I will happier than a pig in the mud if Arizona dumps good pieces for a poor rental.

I read that Hall and his equipment bag flew with team to Arizona for today's game.

No way NJ does that. Flames have to add.
