8.4 on Imdb I expected it to be much higher.

It's almost certain that most of those 2,500 user reviews on IMDB are from people who haven't seen it, no?

Just a warning, the leaks are out there now. Be very careful! People who aren't Star Wars fans will post them just to get a rise out of people. They could be anywhere. I'm avoiding all comment sections and especially Reddit.

Some of the reviews contain spoilers as well and don't have warnings. Peter Debruge's review in Variety apparently contains a pretty major spoiler, he's getting called out left & right on twitter and still denies he's spoiling anything. So, maybe don't read reviews either.

Edit - apparently the review in the New Yorker is less of a spoiler, but still give away a lot of info. Add that to the do not read list.

Time to go into hiding! No Twitter, no Facebook... no online gaming. 8:00PM Thursday can't come fast enough!

This movie will be playing around the clock for at least the next month. I think a lot of people are probably holding off until later in the weekend or the middle of next week when it's a little quieter at the theatre. I bought tickets for an early matinee on Sunday morning (11:30) just so I can avoid some of the huge crowds.

I'm just gonna see it whenever over the holidays at this point. Not gonna bother pre-ordering tickets or anything.

I'm excited to see it of course, but I don't have this desire to have to see ASAP.

^^i think for me it's that i just don't want spoilers to "ruin" the movie for me

the very end of rogue one was so awesome and to have something like that spoiled by someone who is being an idiot just to be an idiot would tick me off

once i've seen ep8 i'm not concerned with seeing something unintentionally that would give away a big post twist or a big scene, that's my main reason for wanting to see it right away.... well, that, and the fact that it's another freakin' star wars movie!!! yeeeeeaaaaa!!!!

Exactly, who wants to randomly find out from some idiot that Snoke kills Gandalf. Not me.

Why would Snoke kill Gandalf, Snoke is Gandalf

Getting pretty stoked. Rogue One was great but there’s nothing quite like the hype of a main saga film coming out.

I stayed away from all trailers, teasers, reviews, and this thread up until seeing the movie last night.

Great fun, highly enjoyable Star Wars film and lots to enjoy for all SW fans.

Wonder if many people will be doing costumes. I remember how psyched everybody was for Phantom Menace, and then that zeal really dropped off big time.
