Welcome to Game 4 of the Western Conference Quarter Finals

Projected starters, not confirmed at the time of posting https://leftwinglock.com/starting-goalies:
Calgary Flames – Mike Smith
Colorado Avalanche – Philipp Grubauer
The Flames dropped game 3 to the Avs by a score of 6-2.

I’ve always said, if you’re going to lose in the playoffs, it’s best to get blown out. It changes the way you approach the next game and you come back with more hunger, desire, and urgency. A close game, or OT loss, you often come back the next game the same way. Here’s to the Flames finding that hunger, desire and sense of urgency.

Overall records:
(P1) Calgary Flames 50-23-7-107
(W2) Colorado Avalanche 37-29-14-88
Best of 7 Series:
(P1) Calgary Flames – 1
(W2) Colorado Avalanche – 3
The game will be broadcast on CBC, NBCSN for our American friends, et mes amis qui parle en français le jeux est sur TVA Sports.

Go Flames Go

Nervous as #### for this one.

We can’t win the series in the first 5 minutes, but we sure as hell can lose it.

Expecting a big effort and a big win. The Flames will respond to the blowout well, as they have all season.
Go Flames!

Calgary is still completely in control of this series. If they play they way we all know they can and did for most of the year Colorado doesn’t stand a chance.

If they no-show again the result will be the same. I had a bad feeling about last game, but today I have a good feeling. I have faith the boys will bounce back.

Go Flames go!!!

This is the first game I will not be able to watch. Neither will the turtle, but am hoping for a big statement game, and hopefully a tie series. If the Jets can do it, so can we!

I have a respectable regular season record when going to the game, but realized Monday that it’s been a guaranteed loss, when I go to a playoff game.

Fortunately, a change in my travel schedule has me giving up my tx for tonight.

Go Flames.

Don't have a great feeling based on the flames have looked 3 games in, as it would require a drastic shift in how both teams are trending.

This could also be my last flames game of the year as i leave a trip to Europe fri for over a week.

Come on flames, get your ish together, put on your big boy pants, coaches, forwards, d get going already.

I have this fear that the flames finally put it together tonight only to have smith falter.

Fingers, toes, etc, crossed.

Go
Flames

Can we say this is a must win game? I see two scenarios

a) Flames win and take the series from here
b) Avs win but loose Friday and finish it in Game 6

If the Flames, as the more talented team, can't put it together to win this game I don't give them much chance to come back from being down 3-1. Winning in the playoffs is a lot about character. Colorado winning again would say a lot about the character of both teams, suggesting that one team has what's needed and the other doesn't.
