Default Day 11 (PM of February 14 - AM of February 15)

Curling starts at 18:05 and it should be on one of the TSN channels. Canada (4-2) faces China (2-4). At the same time we’ll have Sweden vs Denmark, Switzerland vs USA, and the cheaters vs Norway.

The Women’s Slopestyle Freestyle Skiing Final should begin at 18:30, I’m not sure what channel this will be on. Olivia Asselin is the Canadian competitor.

The Women’s Big Air Snowboarding Final begins at 18:30, I think this will be on CBC. Jasmine Baird and Laurie Blouin are the Canadians in this event.

The Women’s Downhill in Alpine Skiing begins at 20:00 and I think will be shown in part on CBC. Marie-Michele Gagnon and Roni Remme are the Canadians in this event.

The Qualification Matches for the Quarterfinals in the Men’s Hockey tournament start at 21:10. Slovakia vs Germany and Denmark vs Latvia will each be on one of the TSN channels I believe.

The Men’s Slopestyle Qualification in Freestyle Skiing begins at 21:30, I think this will be on CBC. Edouard Therriault, Evan McEachran, Max Moffatt, and Teal Harle are the Canadians in this event.

At 22:00 the Final in the Men’s Big Air Snowboarding starts on CBC. Darcy Sharpe, Mark McMorris, and Max Parrot are all jumping for gold.

Women’s Curling is back at 23:05 with Sweden vs Denmark, USA vs Switzerland, Great Britain vs Japan, and China vs the cheaters.

At 23:30 the Men’s 4x7.5km Biathlon Relay starts after being rescheduled from yesterday. Jules Burnotte joins Calgarians Adam Runnalls, Christian Gow, and Scott Gow.

Also at 23:30 the Semifinals for the Women’s Team Pursuit begin and should be on CBC. Canada is in the second race. The Men’s Semifinals should start at 23:52. The Women’s Finals should begin at 00:24.

Nordic Combined starts with the Ski Jumping at 01:00, the Cross Country Skiing part takes place at 04:00.

At 01:40 the Czech Republic faces Switzerland in another Qualification match for the Quarterfinals in Men’s Hockey, this should be on CBC.

At 03:00 the Women’s Singles Short Program begins. Madeline Schizas is the Canadian competitor. I think this will be on Sportsnet and CBC will show it following the hockey.

At 04:00 Qualification in Men’s Aerials begins, I think this will be on Sportsnet1.

Canada faces the cheaters in Men’s Curling at 05:05 and it should be on TSN or TSN3. At the same time we’ll also have Italy vs USA, Norway vs China, and Sweden vs Great Britain.

The third run in the 2-Man Bobsleigh starts at 05:15, I think this will be on Sportsnet1 and on CBC. Chris Spring and Mike Evelyn are currently in eighth, Justin Kripps and Cameron Stones are in tenth, Taylor Austin and Daniel Sunderland are in twentieth. Run 4 starts at 06:50.

Canada faces China in Men’s Hockey at 06:10 for a spot in the Quarterfinal. I think this will be on TSN2.

For Biathlon, Scott and Christian Gow have been really good for Canada. They're still outside the medals unless the favorites get injured, but they've been competitive in each event so far. Their shooting has been really solid, seemingly better than anyone when the conditions are poor. Sadly their skiing just isn't strong enough to keep up. They gain lots of ground in the range and then lose that ground on the course. Hard to fault them though because they're up against the Norwegians and French who were able to make up time even after multiple penalty loops.

Certainly we should beat China in men's hockey.

I looked some at the women's curling standings. Really doesn't matter what anyone else does, Jones needs to win her last 3 games and that should give her 4th place. Switzerland, Japan and Sweden because of the tiebreaker are really all out of reach.

Anyone else frustrated with an Olympic hockey format that has Canada play China twice but potentially no games against the Czechs, Finns, or Russians?

These are just pick up teams. I’m having a hard time caring about who they play.

This men’s hockey bracket is idiotic.

Sweden was 4th and the lowest seeded team to get a bye to the QF. They will play either Canada or China in the QF. Sure, basically guaranteed to be Canada but what if there were an upset? They’d get the best QF matchup of all teams, despite being he lowest ranked bye team.

The USA was the highest ranked team to get a bye and they are guaranteed to have a much tougher matchup in Germany or Slovakia. The 8th and 9th ranked teams.

So why does 4th place Sweden get to potentially play the 12th ranked team and 1st ranked USA is guaranteed to play 8 or 9? What a moronic system.

Then even more bizarrely, they reseed after the QFs. Why? Why not reseed after the qualification round?

Dang, Blouin couldn't stay on her feet on what would've been a podium-calibre run in women's snowboard big air. Was her 3rd and final run, that's too bad but what an effort there.

Surprised that so many rocks are in play. Canada is letting China dictate the play.

China really let Canada off the hook there. You can see the difference experience makes. They had a difficult tap for the force set up yet somehow called a horrible shot with there second last rock and Canada gets a deuce out of it.

Look like Switzerland will go to 4 losses.

Almost certain now Sweden, Canada, GB, and US in the playoffs.
