Hey, we could well lose to Plovdiv Lokomotiv tomorrow, and that’ll end our EL campaign before it even starts!

Lol, I was thinking CB because the rumour is the Korean player in China, but somehow typed CM.

Min-Jae, ya I saw Lazio had a bid for him accepted but he wants spurs people have said, guessing all to do with the popularity they have in Korea with sonny

With reguilon in, davies becomes a cb option, especially in a back 3, that's where he usually plays for Wales, so with toby, Sanchez, tanganga, dier. Signing someone younger, especially if foyth is going, makes sense.

At striker, I never believed the belotti loan with an oblo to buy next year was legit, but no chance now imo after bale and reguilon, so striker will be weghorst or dost prolly, cheap but serviceable backup

Might be the best signing this window, exactly what Liverpool need. Can't expect TAA and Robertson to provide all the service again this year.

I know it has been rumoured forever but what a signing for Liverpool. Thiago is pretty much press resistant, always knows what to do with the ball and doesn’t get flustered

That is some serious depth at midfield if this one goes through.

He reminds me of Xabi Alonso. Exactly the guy we need in our engine room pulling the strings.

Spurs barely survive their first qualifier for Europa League. Even if they get Bale will it matter with the utter dross Mourinho produces?

I only saw the highlights, but it looked like they had a lot of chances and just didn’t finish. From the highlights, that could have been at least 4-5 goals for them. This is why they need Bale though; they can’t break these teams down. That’s not a Mourinho issue though. It’s been the case for years and was the same under Poch.

I just can’t resist posting about this, because it’s so hilarious. We all know about Bale and his golf comments in Madrid. Well, on another board I frequent (Spurs), a poster there was screwing around. He booked a tee time for tomorrow afternoon at a course near the Spurs training center for Daniel Levy, Steve Hitchin (sic) and Gareth Bale. He basically just wanted the screenshot. Of course, it went viral and was picked up by the Daily Mail, a number of places on Twitter and Sky Sports as well.

I guess it also shows just how crazy social media is these days, where a joke gets out of hand and it’s reported as news. But it’s still hilarious. There could be a few photographers wasting an afternoon tomorrow though.

Very prudent loss to Stoke by Wolves. When you run with a short roster, you don't want useless extra games.

Nope, even though they were a top 4 side from when he took over with his two best attackers missing for half that time, it won't matter at all

Serious relegation fears

looks like Liverpool are also getting Diogo Jota for 35m plus. Stunning business if true, Wolves are having a weird window

Jota would be a nice pickup, he would really address a huge area of weakness of depth to that front 3. This could end up being a fairly quiet but effective window if Jota and Thiago get done.

Liverpool are going to have a very different season, teams arent going to be nearly as willing to play them openly, so they need guys who can unlock defenses and Thiago and Jota are good at that.

Its a different dynamic from the current front 3.

From the athletic article on how liverpool got Thiago

Quick show of how Moyes was just THE BEST

He (Thiago) was 22 and the retiring United manager Sir Alex Ferguson viewed him as one of his two leaving presents to his successor. The other was to bomb out Wayne Rooney following their fallout. However, incoming manager David Moyes decided to keep Rooney and dithered over Thiago.

Both the fee and personal terms had been agreed but Moyes got cold feet. He decided that he didn’t feel comfortable spending money on a player he had never seen play live. Moyes even had a clause in his contract that allowed a certain number of private jets each season for watching players.

The deal collapsed and Moyes ended up going back to previous club Everton to sign Marouane Fellaini for £27.5 million on deadline day. Moyes had also wanted Cesc Fabregas but that failed to materialise too.

I always liked Jota - I think he will fit very well into the Liverpool style. Wolves get even thinner... all the more reason to lose that Cup game.

Heard that before but also a version where it was Giggs that talked Moyes out of it. Nonetheless, disastrous.

But..... SECOND BEST. Souness passing on Cantona and Schmeichel takes some beating.
