Glenn dead I think. The eventual war between Rick and Negan is going to be something, the Glenn death makes Rick hate Negan more I think.

That was a bit distressing to watch.

I'm fairly desensitized to most things in these sorts of shows and movies and zombie gore doesn't bother me at all, but when it comes to brutal violence between people like that where someone is consciously doing that to another person and how Negan was actually laughing over it I found to be disturbing on a few levels. Hardly anything happened in the episode aside from them stretching out the death reveals and Negan parading around talking to himself. That was a glacially slow moving episode. Maybe they were trying to give the events weight but I was more just disgusted and hoping for it to be over with sooner. A lot of unnecessarily long parts where basically nothing important was said.

The deaths were executed well but it wasn't a good episode and I'd argue they went a bit far with it, even for the WD. I don't really feel enticed to watch more of the show after that. It's losing a bit of steam for me, though I wasn't the biggest fan to begin with.

Glenn's death and how it was portrayed was like the scene at the Hilltop with Rick's face covered in blood, it was so over the top to emulate the exact scene in the comics.

There were leaks by people who supposedly spy on the filming of the show that Glen and Abraham were only seen on the set for the first episode but I took that with a grain of salt. When Daryl attacked Negan I kind of figured then that it was true but hoped it wasn't.

Wow. What an episode. As a long time ardent fan from day 1, I for one am happy that the writers gave this watershed moment the attention it deserved.

It'll probably be both.
Called it. 😞

Just finished. So stressed. Need a hot chocolate.

But so good. It's back to that show where anything can happen, after playing it safe for so long.

I found that very hard to watch, and I also consider myself desensitized (aren't we all?). My heart is still racing a little

I was close to tears when Glenn got it and when Rick was begging Negan

I can't see Maggie being pregnant for long. She is having issues already and the stress from watching Glenn die just can't be good.

Yeah not sure how Maggie was able to kneel like that for so long considering the whole thing started with rushing her to the doc

It's kinda funny the level of violence that just occurred, yet on Talking Dead they bleep the swears...Societies priorities are ####ed up.

You can beat people to death on screen and leave their heads in a puddle of dog food... but you better not say #### while you're doing it.

I'm disappointed he didn't make Rick chop Coral's arm off. Not sure why he'd start being lenient all of a sudden.

Were there any other recently killed characters around the dinner table at the end?

You came into this thread on the night of the season premiere expecting to NOT see spoilers from the season premiere?

It's how this works, once an episode has aired it's fair game to discuss without spoiler tags. Otherwise the whole thread would just be spoiler tags.

He knew he broke Rick, no point in making him pissed off and getting the group killed.

Can we just say the entire group killed their performances tonight, Andy Lincoln was a gem.

Crazy episode wasn't expecting them to pretty much exactly portray his death from the comic. It was definitely unsettling to watch but I guess it was needed because I hate neegan now
