Provorov is pretty terrible and has been for years. Not sure what Columbus is doing on this one.

Provorov always struck me as someone who bought into his own hype, and stopped trying to improve. Maybe Babcock can beat excellence out of him.

Did the Kings get anything from this? Other than shipping Petersen out?

Philly wins this I guess for no reason other than the picks. It’s pretty close to a 3-way loser though.

Couldn't care less about the eastern teams, but last time they had cap space they got Fiala. They're already making the playoffs and players seem to want to come here.

At least they didn't get any prospects back.

Yeah, wasn't Provorov one of the 'enlightened ones' that couldn't wear the LGBT jersey?

Provorov is going to surprise a lot of people when removed from Rasmus Ristolainen

at least on the ice

off the ice he is a piece of crap and it will be very easy to root against the blue jackets

This is a huge flames #### up imo. That 22nd pick was an easy snag and hanifin is useless on our roster. Could have gotten even more. This club loves the smell of its own #### way too much.

Hanifin is worth far more than a 22nd pick and far from useless

I want Hanifin traded too for retooling purposes but in what world is he useless lmao

If anything, it means his value is better. Provorov < Hanifin. Talk to Detroit about 18th OA

In today’s NHL climate, Babcock would have to use a pool noodle on him.

You both can be right.

Gio for nothing
Brodie for nothing
Gaudreau for nothing
Paid to get rid of Monahan
Cammalleri for nothing
Kipper for nothing

Well, if you want to play that game.

It was Gio or Kylington/Bennett so take your pick. That’s expansion.

We signed Tanev with the cap space from not signing Brodie.

Gaudreau was never getting traded when they were one of the best teams in the league going into playoffs. No teams operate like this. Sucks to lose him, but from all accounts the team thought they had a deal.

Burke came out and said the offers weren’t there for Cammalleri. He was trying to rebuild the Flames image after Feaster ran us into the ground. I don’t blame him for not selling for pennies on the dollar.

Kipper? God forbid management does right by one of the most important players in franchise history. He didn’t want to go finish his career in Toronto, so be it. We survived without getting their second round pick.

Hanifin is worth more than the 22nd overall pick. I would be super disappointed in Conroy had he made that deal.

Sounds like that would be making a trade for the sake of making a trade to get a pick.
