That reminds me of one time I saw Hanks on a talk show (I think it was Letterman) some time after Turner & Hooch came out and they were talking about how it didn't do as well at the box office as had been hoped. Hanks said it was because the dog dies at the end of the movie and no one wanted to see it a second time or tell their friends to see it.
He joked that after the movie came out, the next time he drove past the Disney studio, someone was carving the plants out front into a topiary that spelled out "DON'T KILL THE DOG!"

Ya I saw Castaway and it was amazing. I'll take a quasi sequel, thanks.

The Michael Fassbender version (wanna say 2014?) was well done. I was worried it would focus too much on Shakespeare text, and not be modern enough, but was pleasantly surprised. Not entirely sure what to expect with this new one.
I don't know about the other characters. This might be PTA's version of Once Upon A Time in Hollywood with some true events but also his own narrative. Could be great.

Second trailer dropped for The Batman. I still hold out hope simply based on Pattinson, that this movie will have an independent feel to it when it's done, but I have to say the trailer gives off the vibe of a splice of every other Batman movie put into one. The trailer seems to have throwaway cliches, and I hope the final cut isn't fully representative of what's shown below.
