The final of Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a bit of a mess. It felt like they tried to cram a season worth of story into one episode. I kinda wish they've given us one more really funny episode instead of attempting an emotional conclusion.
Seems to be an issue of comedies hitting their landing with Seinfield and HIMYM being two big culprits and other like Arrested Development, Friends, the Office, Frasier, Silicon Valley, and Peep Show sputtering to a finish.
What comedy shows do we think nailed their conclusion? I've got Veep, 30 Rock, and The Good Place.

With covid and the whole George Floyd thing I think B99 did as well as they could. While the final season wasn't as strong as the others I thought the finale itself was great. I'd put it in the same tier as Parks & Rec, weaker final season but at least a satisfying finish. Veep I think is the gold star when it comes to a comedy show run from start to finish

The last two episodes of Heels have been breakneck good. The intentional leg breaking. The state fair invitation. Crystal going off script. And Bill playing the perfect conflicted dirtbag.
I kinda love this series. James Harrison has shown some good acting chops in this one.

First 3 episodes are good enough that I'm going to keep watching. Not quite good enough that I'm recommending it to people who don't already have a vested interest in the comic book. That could change as I heard the season gets better as it goes along. Only 7 episodes I think.
It's a great week for lovers of British TV. Bake-off returns tonight along with a new version of Never Mind the Buzzcocks. The next season of Taskmaster starts Thursday. And Sex Education season 3 arrived on Netflix this past Friday.
Little Fires Everywhere with Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington was phenomenal. Excellent examination of race and class. Every character was flawed, sympathetic and interesting.
The Night Manager was a great 6 part spy thriller with Loki and Dr House. I remember it being on amc but it’s it’s actually just a bbc show they picked up. Based on a La Carre novel. Way better than the silliness that is Jack Ryan.
Both on prime.

Finally got around to watching Invincible on Prime, and it quickly turned into one of my favorite shows. I thought it was going to be another The Boys type show from the previews, but it's more like standard Marvel/DC heroes except with real world consequences. The voice acting is also top notch, surprised they were able to get such a stacked cast

I watched the first 4 and I'm pretty sure that's all that's aired. Like you say, pretty good, not mind blowing. Also I have somehow forgotten how dumb Yorick is. Or maybe he wasn't this dumb in the comic. I can't remember.

I watched the first episode of the wonder years. I really enjoyed it. I found it both funny and poignant at times.

You all will laugh at me for being soooo late to the party, but I discovered The League on Disney +... how did I not watch this show when it was actually on TV?
Amazing.
